Why do both of my Kuro's say - Mushi Tama

and for this one - you can tell it said the same thing - it just has an "Ibara" sticker covering it up.

Pretty sure they are both legit although with radically different serial numbers. The first link had the most up to date version with like 3 periods or something.

Any input? Ever see that before with cave boards?

Isn't it pretty common for Cave to use some of their old PCBs and reprogram them? I'd think that's what's going on here.

Bought pcb only. Noone would split up their kit. Bought a kit. PCB is sold and on its way out.

That Altera chip is part of the protection to stop people from upgrading an old game to a brand new one. Cave can reprogram them but they are protected from being read out.
