Right, but to me she looked 12 in those original pics that were posted, with some breasts added on. If she looks older in the actual game then hey, great. I just don't think there's anything puritanical or sex-hating about drawing the line at pre-teens.

I didn't think so. Hmm, 12+breasts=18 ? Obviously not, she doesn't look 12 in the flyer. She looks like a cartoon, and that makes it hard to judge. Bottom line is that it's not a big deal. Japan has so many pedophelia problems that it's a godsend that they draw breasts on ANY of their artwork.

Once again, some people on here are upset over the arbitrary age attributed to Reko. Unfortunately I can't see the third picture UD had linked to, but I'm sure I really wouldn't be bothered by it. So what does it matter what age Cave says Reko is? If they said, "Oh, she's 19 and she goes to junior college and studies entomology," then nobody would care. If she's 18, fine. But if she's 17, then that makes anyone who finds her attractive a pedophile? The only reason people may think so is because the age of consent is determined by the government. If X country says that this age is 15 while Y country says it's 18, then there isn't much that country Y can do or say about it. It's really silly when you think about it, because an 18 year old is not much more mature than a 17 year old. What if you have sex with a 17 year and 11 month old girl? In another month she's suddenly mature and prepared for sex? Or what if you have sex with a girl the day before her 18th birthday? I've never understood age of consent laws. Anyhow, I don't want this to go onto the tangent of a debate about the age of consent. What I'm trying to point out is that we shouldn't get so upset over some arbitrary age number that Cave assigns to their character. She's a drawing, for Bob's sake. I find it more offensive for adults to portray teenagers engaging in promiscuous, irresponsible sex (like in movies or shows like 90210) than to show a naked cartoon girl who has some teenage age assigned to her because that's what her creators decided on. Heck, Reko has big knockers, as with most other female anime characters. She can be any age you want to think of her as. As Bloodflowers mentioned, Reko's age appears to differ depending on the drawing and who draws her. I have no problems with this. I do, however, object to the depiction of obvious 8-year-old girls being forced into sexual situations. I have seen that lots of disburbing stuff in doujinshi shops in Japan, so I wonder what the big scandal with Reko is. I have the figure of her sitting on the tree stump. Yeah, she's not wearing panties, and yeah, I can even barely see her coochie lips. BIG DEAL. I don't really care if Cave draws panties on her or not. What I think you guys should be getting upset over is the guy who airbrushed the panties off of the child Reko figure. If Cave did that sort of stuff, then I'd say that's good enough to be outraged over. I realize I'm rambling, but i hope I managed to get some coherent thought out to everyone here.

Anyhow, Kasumi in the Dead Or Alive seriesis 17 years old. I just checked her age in both Dead Or Alive 2 and 3. I'd say she's highly sexualized, and she's under 18. Why not the outrage towards Tecmo for that?

Ya, but it all goes back to what you were saying about age of consent for different countries. The game was made for the Japanese market where that kind of thing is the norm. For the US it's not right. I heard in Mexico the age of consent was 12. Some mexican guy told me. Either that's true and gross or he was lying to make himself not feel like a pervert for fucking 12-year-olds and that's even worse.

Whichever such sites are worse is debatable, however for the purposes of Shmups Forum none of that content is acceptable posting material. Specifically highlandcattle directly linking to such content was entirely unacceptable, and it should be noted that similar stunts from anyone in future will not be dealt with lightly. This is a fairly obvious point, but to state it clearly, any attempt to entice readers into visiting explicit/offensive sites like the aforementioned is abuse of forum posting privilages. Chloe Vevrier is entirely natural, surely he has received surgeonry to stop the sagging (which starts pretty early if you're naturally big, before legal age if you don't exercise), unlike the obvious fake look of Teresa Rose, which looks like she has a pair of Bridgestone protheses under the breasts XD

Beside that, the mix of mature age and girlish looks in her is a nice reference to many 40-something of these days...uhm, scary

I'd do Reko at 40 if she keeps in shape, though
