Middletown, VA area.

Post by Damocles »

I'm accepting a theatre internship in Middletown, Va, starting two weeks from now. Is there anything worthwhile in this area? Arcades? Good pool halls? Fellow shmuppers? I know the town itself is quite small (1200 people) but is supposedly close to fairly large centers of activities.

Middletown's up in northern Virginia, right? If it's up north I'm sure there's fun to be had :) Besides the east coast side of the state, the best entertainment's up there.

Charlottesville's cool too, but too many college bums in the summertime.

I live a few I-81 exits north in Winchester, off and on. There used to be a good pool hall downtown, but it changed management a few years ago. The arcade at the mall hasn't been decent since the 90's. You want "large centers of activities" you're going to have to head east to No.VA/D.C. area.

MapQuest gives two Middletowns :( one a bit over an hour from us and the other over four hours...

Northern Virginia, yes, there is much to do :)
