We also have to be Czech 18-year-olds who spend all available free time grinding JRPGs or shmupping.

By the way, do you have something to do with this or is it just a cultural thing?

That's about all the time I spent on Daioh last week, and probably all I'll have time for with 1944 this weekend. That said, I seem to be enjoying this year's STGT more.

I'm stuck at stage 5 boss,coming with 3 bombs.
I also have to bomb stage 2 boss once if I don't want to get hit.
this game is hard.

I've had different bonus item too:
100k bonus twice, shot level up item.
the 100k on the bridge at stage 4 u need to shoot a tank on it,if u use regular shot it gives PoW.

Haven't seen the explosion one yet.

Honestly I really want to like this game but I'm just not having any fun at all playing it. I have to force myself to load it up every time, I keep finding myself going back to Daioh for that stupid 1-all.

Why so fucking stingy with bombs on a game this long? Honestly I feel like the health system implemented in this game is way worse than any checkpoint system, just because there's never any sort of benefit whatsoever from being hit in the form of additional bombs. There's no relief of moment of rest when you take a hit like in most game. I expect it subconsciously so when I take a hit my concentration breaks completely, and it almost always leads to just getting hit again immediately.

Allow me to write my thoughts in the game (in my own language):

In the year 1939, the Japanese have invaded our country, so is the U.S. during WWII. After the war, they gave us awesome techno including cars, computers, cellphones, etc. But that's another story!

In this game, this is 'WWII', baby! It's 1944: The Loop Master! The game is like the same old, same old 194X game, but with an unusual special ability that you can use by holding down the fire button. This ability let's you destroy enemies while you're above the sky, and you can become invincible in this state. After defeating the bosses, they give you bonuses, depending on how you kill enemies and how much gold you collected. This game looks a bit easy than 19XX because of the special ability used here, but it takes a little practice before doing so. If you like most of the 194X series, try this!

None of us have studied Tagalog in depth AFAIK, so I'm hoping you're going to translate that.

I guess I can ask in this thread as well: Anyone knows what people made this game? specific names.

Will do, but let me warn you, sometimes some people say that my translation is superfluous.

I guess Raizing were behind this game, so I guess some people from that company made this one.

I think it's an interesting game. It's not particularly enjoyable to play, but for one week, it's a nice diversion. Despite its glaring flaws, it's much less annoying than some games in past STGTs.

The good stuff:
- It does the lifebar thing right, as different bullets do different amounts of damage. Get hit by a little orange dot - you lose a little bit of your lifebar. Get hit by a laser - bam, half your health is gone.
- Lovely graphics (among the best generic visuals I've ever seen). You can really tell that Capcom artists at the height of their game worked on it.
- Potentially interesting boss designs.
- Lots of nice secrets, which are not relevant to scoring (as opposed to Batrider, etc.)

The bad stuff:
- The nice boss designs are wasted on bullet spam instead of good patterns, and bosses move in erratic and illogical ways. Both things encourage you to not learn how to battle the bosses and dodge their attacks, but charge-shoot and bomb them quickly instead.
- Stupid charge mechanic.
- HUGE hitbox is unwieldy.
- Ridiculous music.

what do you mean post-dimahoo, that these are raizing people that werent credited in any Raizing game at all (not even Brave Blade?)? I'm still curious about the names, even if they only had "thank you-credits". Do you have any source for your info?

purely speculation, but in between batrider and dimahoo, raizing seemed to have had a massive staff changeover with the exception of one or two key individuals (masahiro yuge and the dimahoo music guy? both of whom were later seen doing Takumi games). 1944 THE LOOP MASTER has no game credits to speak of (thanks crapcum) but you're only going to see staff commonialities from brave blade with the staff of dimahoo.
