Help please! Problem with Famicom AV mod

Following situation: bought a pre-modded Famicom off ebay, stopped working completely after a year, sent it to a buddy to repair, works again but has some nasty shit going on

What could cause this and how do i get rid of this?

TBH, I don't think the problem you're having has anything to do with the AV mod...
Do those "dots" act differently if you carefully move the cartridge while the game is running? I've had similar looking glitches on my fami, before I replaced its completely fucked-up edge connector.

Nah, these things are moving all the time and look like interference for me.
I'll try it again with different carts and wiggling around, but I'll doubt that will make any difference.

Wasn't able to spot any kind of reaction to changing games or wiggling the cart.

Well fuck me, it was just the PSU giving a little too much power.
