I ask this only because I sent him a PM a while ago, and in his response he stated that he was at the hospital and had been absent from the forum for awhile because he was ill. He hasn't responded to my response afterwards. This was about two months ago. I know that it's not supposed to be a strange discovery when you find out that some people actually have lives outside of the forum (budumbum pish!), but a hiatus as long as his leaves me to worry a little. From what I understand, he was working on the so called Raiden II project with Squid Man. I'm hoping he (Squid Man) or someone else who knows him can shed some light on Austere's lack of posting --hopefully Austere himself.
I would be very much relieved to find out that I am concerned over nothing. But in this internet age, a shmups forum member on the other side of the world could pass away, and no one in the forum would ever know unless a relative or friend of his posted about it.
"Too kawaii to live, too sugoi to die. Trapped in a moe~ existence"
Actually I'm a little worried myself too now that you point it out.
"Working on the Raiden II Project" is a bit of an overstatement - going by their website nothing's happened there since January and nothing Raiden II related since even earlier still. Chances are this business with the hospital might have something to do with it. Furthermore, he's an Aussie and I don't trust our hospitals as of late.
Here's hoping he's okay and all - I enjoyed his insights into the various stuff that happens here.
Hey dudes, someone pointed me to this, I do appreciate it, didn't mean to worry anyone.
I've somewhat recovered, slowly getting back to the same (somewhat crappy) state as before. Sadly, between my PhD and ... let us say geopolitics, I've had no time to participate in forums lately. You can always contact me by PM as I get an email alert when you do. I'll hopefully be back soon, I have draft posts that need to be finished. Yeah, I know, I'm procrastinating my procrastinations.
Seeya soon + might want to lock.
