Our highly acclaimed Amiga classic achieving an amazing 109% rating is now available on the App Store for iOS devices. The press said the following about the original:

For the iOS version we have conserved the highly praised gameplay exactly like on the original, while at the same time adapting it to excellent play on mobile devices. It's just weird when you try to go the viral marketing route (or at least it looked like it) when it's pretty clear that you developed that port.

Awesome! This was my favorite shooter for a while, and the soundtrack is great. I'll definitely be picking up this version.

Pretty cool! I like that there are a lot of control options, but could I suggest some more?

- I'd make only one side of the screen contain buttons.. maybe the strip on the other side of the screen could just be a blank strip for dragging your ship without blocking the view. At the moment, it's pretty easy to accidentally hit the nova-missile button.

- I always felt that a flaw of the original was the sheer amount of hits the powerup ships took.. it'd be nice to have an "original" mode that tweaks a couple of the hitpoint settings If I could, I'd rebalance it for fewer nova-missiles given but more powerful main guns, and less of a difference in weapon damage from powering up your weapon.

- Barring that... maybe an autofire rate adjust..? It'd probably fall into the 'cheat' category, but it'd be nice to have the option

Anyway, very good port! It's great that I can actually play this again on a system less jittery than my UAE emulator box!

Thanks The buttons layout on both sides was to adress the left and right hand issues, while you hold the device. After a while one learns to stear around the screen and avoid hitting the nova-missile button, at least that is the idea
There is an easy way to "get" that powerup ship In answer to your auto-fire rate. The iOS version has a much faster "shot-reload" hence much faster auto-rapid-fire, than the original
Some issues here such as the controls will get an even better option, than the current version in the soon to be released 2 player mode.
