It's a cool idea but it seems a bit gimmicky to me and honestly I wouldn't be bothered if RSG didn't bring it over - as I see it they're bringing over the important stuff at a fair price. I'm not interested in arrange modes in general though, I'd always rather play the original.
Wait til you play arrange A. The idea behind it would have been a great arcade game.

Honestly after playing Ketsuipachi I don't have much desire to go back to BL.

I just find it more fun than BL.

No, it's probably an entirely new mode developed by Triangle Service

I like leaving my stuff on without a risk for a burn in.
Yep, the JP version's interface is nearly identical to ESPGALUDA II Black Label's - to date, it's the last Cave port to still have its attract mode fully intact.

I'm told by someone who claims to have gotten the dates direct from RSG that resurrection is indeed being released in November.

Pre ordered along with KOF XIII. 8)

It looks like the realistic possibilities to follow on from this next year will be either Deathsmiles 2 or Akai Katana from RSG.

It sounds like this interview is their source, so no, it's not a definite date yet.

Dunno about November 11 but the YouTube video said it was coming out in November didn't it? :(

The pack will follow the trend set by our earlier release of Deathsmiles and be known as DoDonPachi Resurrection Deluxe. This will include the original Version 1.5 release, both Arrange modes and the official soundtrack. The Black Label and Version 1.51 Arrange modes will be available separately as DLC via Xbox LIVE. The art game is not available.
Hmm, DeathSmiles was a complete pack of arrange modes and mega black label (ie. every version of the game on the disc), plus the desktop goodies CD, as well as a soundtrack, making the "deluxe" term very apt. All the DFK release is adding to the regular Japanese release is the soundtrack, so I think RSG managed to devaluate their own term right there. Even if it was Cave's decision what should be included.

He should have just settled with the "giving the fans what they want" part. :) It's a really excellent move for RSG to listen to the actual shooter fans and giving them the game that was requested the most.

Well, I was shocked to see it actually got picked up, BL and Ketsuipatchi as DLC.

I'm glad I made that thread on the RSG forum now :D

And yes, targeting window launch in November implies you cannot pinpoint it down to November 11 yet, or the October 15 Amazon.fr has... it shouldn't be Raiden Fighters Aces though :P

I didn't read the whole thread but shouldn't that be a sure sign?

And the lower paragraph says this
Revered Black Label mode
which imo means that they are talking about Black Label and not Black Label arrange

Check this post from RSG in this very thread here, or take the word of people who had done so and don't go over old arguments :)

Whats the games RRP? Amazon UK has it up at £34.99 but at another site its £29.99.

Personally I hope RSG have priced it at £30 as it will probably see some kneejerking from the mainstream if its the same as AAA FPS games

Although the west is more shmup friendly nowadays it could be another NA Raiden 4, where ppl moaned that it was the same price as RFA plus had that DLC.

I think this is the first time I've been so jealous of the European gaming market. Makes no sense, because I already own the jp version. But congratulations on a domestic release!

DS was priced less than £20 (at least by some sites), and it's a better game. I think the budget prices helped a lot selling the game, since a lot of people don't regard STG's as much value-for-money, compared to a game with a compelling storyline, a billion unlockables and no way to die.
So I think it would be smart for RSG to give DFK a similar price, but I'll buy it either way.

The RRP is £29.99 - I don't know why Amazon have priced it at £34.99, I'll look into it.

It'll probably sell for less than that seeing as £29.99 is the RRP (which is almost never actually charged). I expect Shopto will sell it for £25 or less.

Whilst I'm here, this is an interview with the product manager of RSG that I found on the subject of DDP.

http://www.midlifegamer.net/2011/07/dod ... urrection/

I'll try to keep the first post updated as info becomes more concrete/available.

Reading that interview actually made me want to play it again  Nice comment about Akai Katana at the end - hopefully that will be next up for release.

Also, £26.99 from play.com

I seriously dislike the fact that if its not a game from a bigshot dev or publisher it takes them like 2-3 days before the release to show up here on Swedish stores so you can preorder them seriously what the hell...

You're seriously annoyed about having to wait 2-3 days extra for a game that's already been over a year on its way?

Personally I'm getting this from England. Not paying Danish physical store prices for it.
Shopto tend to have pretty fast shipping.

Play.com ship to Sweden for free, if you're itching to order it now and secure a copy. It'd take a couple more days to arrive, though.
