Name that power connector!
This is the back of my Sigma Raijin. I've misplaced the power cord, and don't have any other items that use it. Any idea what it's called? Not the RGB connection, obviously.

no idea about the american/international term, but are you sure than you don't have any other devices like this ? This is the standard power 110/220V connector for anything without a ground loop. On the video game side, Playstation, Saturn, Dreamcast, the PSP charger use this. Also every kitchen radio, every other DVD player and millions of electric gear like an electrical razors.I've misplaced the power cord, and don't have any other items that use it. I would have to force it in. I don't mind trying, but I might be selling this one soon, so.... kinda ghetto, no?

Anyway, the makers of that "controlbox" should be slapped hard: 100V AC going into a metal case and they don't earth the darn thing??

But to add something helpful, it looks to me like a plain old 2-prong appliance power connector, as Fudoh mentioned. They are very common, I have several lying around from various things -- laptop power supply, printer, etc.
And jonny5 doesn't believe me, but I've seen 'em at the dollar store too. In fact I bought one just to prove it.
p.s. I love the random shit that turns up in google image searches

Re: Name that power connector!
Unless there's some trick of the light making me misinterpret the shape, I can't find that actual connector shape anywhere from American distributors. It only vaguely resembles an IEC C8 connector (the "standard" connector that everyone seems to be referencing) to me. I guess it might be a Japan-specific standard, but I wouldn't know where to find information on that.
Re: Name that power connector!
This connector is common on old Japanese equipment. My portable tape recorder uses one, and I have seen them on radios too. I'm not aware of any names... Actually, there were lots of different detachable mains power connectors before they were standardised.
Re: Name that power connector!
Other thing you could do is replace the socket on the gun side with a figure-8, if the part is easier for you to source.
Re: Name that power connector!
Delved deep inside our supplier's catalogues and nothing. All clear after reading viletim's post: they rarely have older Japan-exclusive components.

Sry, got away from this thread.
I'm going to call Mak JP today and see what they say.
I might just shove it in....
...that's what he said.
