missed this place, been busy wit work and love etc, so shmuppin took a backseat for awhile. Now am here again, 1945 II put me back in my place, sorted out my priorities an all that, know what i mean?

Whats been happenin the last few months? Bit gutted to see no knew scores in the souky thread Also gutted that i havnt magically improved at shmuppin during my absence. (thats going to change of course)

happenings:

Cave:

• Mushihimesama was released for the PS2 (Japanese region).
• Ibara is out in several Asian arcades.
• Cave's investor relations press release mentions ESPGaluda 2 and Ibara 2. A promotional image has recently surfaced for ESPGaluda 2. Ibara doesn't seem to be doing well in arcades, so we'll see on that.

G.Rev:

• Under Defeat is in development for release in arcades.

Konami-related:

• Hamster may or may not release Xexex for the Japanese Playstation 2.

Milestone:

• Chaos Field received or was going to receive a US release on the Gamecube, but I think that was before you disappeared.
• Have a cell-phone themed shooter in the works. The name seems to change with every thread. I'll let others decide :D

SNK Playmore:

• Twinkle Star Sprites: La Petite Princess was released for J-PS2.

Taito:

• Taito Memories Joukan/volume 1 is out for J-PS2. Includes Darius Gaiden, but everyone buys it for Elevator Action Returns :)
• Raiden 3 J-PS2 will be out in just over a month (September 22) [Another thread.]
• Taito Memories Gekan/volume 2 will be released on J-PS2 on August 25.

Triangle Service:

• Trizeal was released for the Dreamcast in Japan.

Hmph. Shooters greater than interpersonal social relationships.
Any female human remotely interested in me (haha, never again!!) would be instantly turned off as soon as she finds out I'd rather spend $450 on one game than buy her this and that or whatever just so she'll shut up with her manipulative "you don't love me" mind tricks for a few days. I was probably about to get ulcers from the stress of having to spend hours soothing my ex out of the fits that she'd throw several times a week. On one hand I'm glad it's over, but on the other hand I'm mad that it was such a bad experience it's made me the most bitter son of a bitch in the whole freaking galaxy. Bachelor for life here.

Your best bet is to make her play games, date in the arcade is quite fun, albeit not quite romantic (but you can always throw in a dinner afterward).

Though I am also a bit fragged from my last relationship and don't really have a girlfriend now, I recently met a nice girl who consistently plays in the same arcade with me each morning, and it is really fun playing with her. I'm currently teaching her shmups. It will be a long time until there would be a couple 1CC, however.

To MovingTarget: apart from what incognoscente said, Nanostray DS was released and, though a very good shmup, failed miserably. I hope sales will pick up for it after a while.

You probably also noticed a "new thing" that happened since you left is that I joined

In a few weeks I'll be getting the end of season share of tips(i work in a pub/hotel) so that'll be a nice sum of money, coincidently the price of mushi and a jap ps2 will pale in comparison!
