That tip is kinda lame ... there is the odd glitch where a fireball and even the character has fallen through the floor, but these are inconsistent and can't be relied on for strategy.jonny5 wrote:For realz! And I gotta give it up for shmuppylove for beating and getting hi scores in NitD in that condition, nice oneWe have no choice for the A/C, as soon as it hits like 25c+ outside it heats up like an oven. Try sleeping when its 34c inside at night!

That reminds me, I need to find a high score thing for that game; I am convinced he is in world record score territory now. ghey!!! you have to register at Twin Galaxies to see scores now.![]()
Well according to Twin Galaxies, they have a high of 23,411,700, and 2nd place is 20,726,500. Your 18mill is good for 3rd, as they have 16,087,200. All mame though, and I don't know how they work, but all the scores they have listed are from Aug.31/2006.
I am going to try and find some other scores, as I'm sure the Asian boards will be much higher.
edit: can't really find any other score boards, although neogeo.com shows mmsadda with 3.5mill, and there is that thread where Tonk hacked it for a 30mill score.
I did find this tasty tidbit here though:
* There are many cracks in the wood/stone of most levels. Some of these will reveal a fireball that will make your shot fly all over the board. Experiment with throwing at different angles to find these hidden spots. Most will clear the entire board as the ball flings out of control.
I think 20m is definitely possible. The big problem is getting 'practice' on the later levels. From 1-1 to 3-5 I can pretty consistently clear every stage, because I used to only be able to get to 3-5 before dying. If you can get the multiplier up to x8 within the first 3 or 4 stages, it makes a massive difference in the score. I've had runs where I've been at 9-10m by 3-5, but it's rare. Hell I've had runs where I've hit 2m at the end of 1-5

In MAME it's way too easy to cheat ... obviously there are save states for starters, but I'm almost positive there'd be a way to remove the random factor from the game. If you've ever fiddled with WolfMame and INP files this is obvious.
At the very least, there might be some way to trigger certain loot.
