No Irem April fools...

Post by ZOM »

According to their page, seems there won't be any Irem April fools "event" this year.

Any of you spotted an elaborate april fools coming from game companies yet? Seems very quiet this year.
Other stuff like fictional april-fools doujin games and whatnot are welcome too!

Does the army of Development kiddies here count as a "game company"?

I wish the cancellation of Disaster Report 4 was an April joke :(

Irem just canceled two of their biggest projects, Disaster Report 4 and Steambot Chronicles 2. They`ll probably announce the closure of the studios in a month or so. No more jokes from them.

Hell Decent has an okay joke about Deadly Preminition being made into a tv miniseries by Twin Peaks director. And, a surprisingly similiar themed header to the one here.

This should have 48 player co-op with one player on each screen, and you can friendly fire the guy in front of you. Extreme coordination challenge! :P

Hmm... why would one ever pull games from the shop? Even if you were looking to sell, wouldn't you want income? Color me stupid?

The death of Irem will truly be one of the worst vidya related news in a long time. Their shooters influenced a LOT of games, even across different genres.
