1) How to "find" them;
1.1) Using the "helper"
Forget about all the icons when you boot the CD, start the "helper" !
The "helper" is a tool helping you to browse the FSC CD and installing games on HDD
Normaly the "helper" is located in the lower right corner of the FSC when you boot it
1.2.) Other way; browse the FSC using the TOS Manager;
Click on the symbol in TOS showing two little rectangles and select the second option
Warning, this will show you all data on the cd so a 386 or a Marty will be busy for a short time
Select then; "T_OS" and klick on "Game", here you will find all games for TOS
This way is a bit more easy because every game is named in english
Note; Lower FSC numbers do not have a game directory, they are directly in the T_OS path
2) How to start them
2.1) Under the "helper" select a game and klick on exec, then ok
2.2) In the directory klick on the game directory you want and execute the .EXP file
3) How to quit games;
3.1.) Hit ESC or Break, this will cause a error message, simply klick ok and you will return to TOS
3.2.) Loose all lives and you will be returned to the main game screen, sometimes you can leave it from here
3.3) Many games cannot be leaved so you have to restart you system... this sucks, I KNOW ^_^
Why all this ?
On each of the Free Software Collections are around 40-90 games, many of them are STGs !
Some where made with the Super Shooting Towns Tool, some where made by unknown programmers from japan
Some are crap, some are good... just search and please report if you find something good.
I do not have the time to start all games but i have allready found a few nice STGs like Exceed or Raygunner
