I ordered one of these last Friday and i never received any kind of confirmation email but my PayPal was sent. Guess there is no email confirmation? Also how long about does it take for orders to get to the USA after your order has been placed? Thanks

The paypal confirmation is the order confirmation. Currently the delivery time for SLG is very good. Your order was sent yesterday and should arrive end of this week or mid of next week oversea.

Got my slg today! Can't wait to try it out tomorrow. I thought it had a screw terminal for a switch but it has a switch already. If I wanted to wire a micro switch for a button how would I go about doing that? Thanks...

I'd like to try the Lenkeng LKV362 Scart to HDMI converter with my Neo Geo AES and 50" Panasonic G10 plasma TV. Initially, I'll be running it through HDMI at 1080p just to see how it performs. However, I'd like to also try it through the telly's VGA input via a SLG3000 for some scanline goodness. So considering there's no HDCP involved, I assume I'd be ok just getting a cheap HDMI-VGA lead from eBay, rather than a very expensive HDfury?

Is anyone here using any of the Lenkeng scalers? What are your thoughts, especially with Neo Geo 240p? And does anyone know if the LKV36X series Scart to HDMI scalers use composite sync rather than composite video?

Thanks for any help

The SLG3000 only works with an Analogue signal afaik. Your Lenkeng device will be outputing a digital signal. You can't convert D to A with just a lead.... you would need a transcoder (i.e. HDFURY).

Ok so im having some problems assuming my tv but im not going to buy a new tv. So Right now i just have this setup... PC With HD 6450 vga out > SLG3000 > VGA input on my tv. If i set the resolution on my PC to the max of my tv which is 1360 x 768 I get some scale lines but also a lot of flicker and it just doesn't look right. If i set my res to 1024 by 768 on my pc the scale lines look great! Problem is i need the resolution to be at 1360 x 768 or else some of my emulators will not run in there proper aspect ratio even with options to do so. Because 1024 x 768 is a 4:3 ratio it gets stretched across the entire screen and the emulators already figure its running at 4:3 so the aspect ratio option doesn't work. Is there any other way about hooking this up that might work? What about that HD Fury thing i keep hearing about on here?

far as I'm concerned, the SLG was made to process video at 640x480 and anything else is basically bananas. Try setting your PC output to 640x480, and you should be able to turn off the stretching on the TV to maintain the proper aspect ratio.

I would but the lowest it will let me set it is 800 x 600. Plus my TV only has full or dot by dot for aspect ratio settings. So if I could go 640 x 480 with dot for dot it would be a small square on the center of the screen. Plus a few apps I have ran that force 640 x 480 the scale lines look messed up probably cause of my TVs upscaler...

Gentlemen,
I am using the SLG3000 with:

Wii in 480p Widescreen --> Neoya X2VGA --> SLG3000 --> TV LCD LG 26" 720p (1360 x 768) Model LC26LC2R

However, when I turn on the SLG3000, I get some scanlines "stronger" than others.
I tried to adjust the intensity, but no results. Any ideas?

Please take a look on a Photoshop mockup I did create to explain the problem:

Different intensities.
There is no way to get rid of the "stronger lines" among the "pale lines".
(Sorry for my poor English...)

I am start thinking that this issue could be a problem of
bad upscaling of my TV... Is this possible?

OH MY.

Thanks so much!
Cospefogo.

Thanks Fudoh!

At same time I wonder...
What if I plug a XBox1 in 720p mode through Neoya X2VGA2 + SLG3000?
Do you think it will work correctly?
After all the TV is 720p natively and the Xbox output the very same as well...

I will test as soon as possible.

I just need now to find a way to make my Xbox 1 work with my Neoya.
All I get is a garbled messed up screen all the time.

=/

Regards!

Your TV will still need to upscale even from 720p lines. Depends on how crap your TV scaler is.

Replication of scanlines is that of a CRT in reality.... so you need to apply these to a 480p image not 720p. 720p with scanlines just isn't right imo as they are way too thin and too many.

Whatever floats your boat though.

720p scanlines look AWESOME on 720p native sources.... :)

however... 720p scanlines on sources that were originally rendered at 240 or 480p looks terrible.

Hey guys...

Definitely the problem resides on my old LG television upscaling.
Both Wii and Xbox, under 480p, give me bad scanlines.

I tried the connections on a Dell 17" LCD and SLG3000 + Neoya worked superbly fine.
Oh my oh... I think I will keep the scanlines out of scene for a while.
Playing on a 17" is really not what I was expecting.

But, just to reinforce --- SLG3000 is a gift from gods!
It is supreme!

Get yours now!
=)

Right, so I finally found some time to test my 2 slg units I got way back in January I think. They are of the fist batch send out.
I tested them on my trisynced astro vga monitor and on a 28'' hantarex vga monitor.
I tried gamecube/xbox1 component cable - neoya x2vga 2 - slg3000 and also Dreamcast/XBOX 360 - vga cable - slg3000; all 480p but can't seem to get any scanlines no matter how I change the dip settings and/or scanline intensity knob.
Image only gets brighter or fuzzier when I turn the scanline intensity, with both slg units I have.

I've read thru this topic and assume this has to do with not enough power?

I'm pretty useless when it comes to technical issues but is it just a matter of getting a 5v power supply, cutting the cable and screwing it in the 5v terminal to make this work?

Any pictures to show me how to connect the extra power?
thanks.

you don't need extra power. So far there was no case where extra psu was needed.

Check out DIP Switch 4 and 5? Which position do they have?

Is the red led light on?

Just received my second slg3000 today :D Houston we have a problem  What's happening is that as i turn the pot to increase the scanline intensity, the colours are turning from their correct colours to a green/yellow ,so i can't have the scanlines set past a certain level .I noticed it straight away when i plugged in my jp version of ghouls n' ghosts on my jp mega drive, the blue sega boot logo shows the problem straight away. Also arthurs grey/silver armour ,the blue water.

So i tested this with a few different cables and three different monitors (two lcd and my cab's chungwa vga crt)using the cga to vga scaler.I then removed the mega drive and went into the scaler's options ,as it uses yellow for the option text and white text for all other menue text. Now i adjusted the slg3000's pots so i could better see the white menu text slowly turn to yellow .Feck.

Led is on,tested @ 640x480,800x600,odd/even. And i've tried adjusting the cga to vga's RGB (green)levels, using the trimmers, which works a bit but it results in even darker colour levels .

hm, could happen that your specific unit has a fault or a cold solider joint somewhere. Get in touch with me, send back this one and get a new one ;)

First ,i'll get my jewelers magnifying glass and have a look to see if there's any solder splash ,then i'll test the pcb with my multimeter for continuity/dry joint problems ,then i'll get back to you! I'll just mention something about the state of the box when it arrived. One side of the box was open, the red tape on that side was cut through and one of the little cardboard flap things was also completely off and inside the box. When i saw the state of the box,my first thought was ,the slg3000 won't be inside anymore.
