The last pattern on Galuda melts my eyes.

Too tired to play tonight.

My thoughts exactly. As much as I love the game, it's flawed this way. Nothing in the game foreshadows how tough the final boss turns out to be.

At least in Garegga, you get your ass kicked thoroughly before reaching it...
I still think the argument is only valid for ESPGaluda's boss... ESPRade's is a judgement call (I had more trouble w/ the game than the last boss) and I think ESPGaluda II's is of perfect balance.

I have never 1-Alled a Psikyo game, but this year it is my number 1 shmup goal. I'm finally able to reach the last stage of Gunbird, I can almost taste it, but alas - if I die with 6 bombs again I'm going to become a very angry man.

Personally I feel like if I have to get to the boss with like half my lives left just to beat one boss, it's a bit disproportionate. You may not mind the whole "multi-form true last boss" type of thing, but I prefer the stage 6 boss to be just that, a stage boss. I do like it if there's a special requirement to fight said multi-form dickfest though, like the cave looping titles or futari god mode.

I think Espgaluda is a perfect example of 'tasting the 1cc'. Fucking game.

I get to the last boss on just about every go. I'd play it more, but it becomes quite a long process to keep getting to the last form and dying, so I invariably take it out the cab after only a couple of days.

I reckon getting there with 2-3 lives will do it. Maybe I should stop being lazy and give it a proper shot.

Espgaluda was the first Cave game that I reached the last boss in. I've now got 3 other Cave 1CCs but still not cleared Espgaluda. I hate that boss.

I gotta admit, I dont get the difficulty with Galuda`s final boss. I agree that its the hardest part of the game, but an hour or two in training mode and its a very doable Cave final boss. I beat the game the day I got it and never really had troubles with it (in terms of survival).

Now, ESPrade`s final boss...for some reason, that one has given me more headaches and seems to be harder for me than for most other players. Took me ages to get past her, even with dedicated practice on each form.

I guess like with boxing, `styles make fights.`

Heh, I was gonna say something similar, but I didn't post. I thought maybe it has been too much time since I cleared that game (about 2.5 years), so perhaps I don't remember the difficulty that accurately. Because it can happen sometimes.

I can confidently say that I am a better bullet-hell player than I was at that time, even if the improvement is small. But still, this game is the second fastest cave clear for me (after DS). The first time I reached the final boss, I put on the practice mode. After a good two hours of practice, I did a run again and got a clear. I even messed up at one of the whirling patterns of a previous boss in that particular run. Maybe I was a little lucky, but two lines of defense really give more leverage to the player.

So it becomes an issue of PCB full runs vs cheaters and their ports with training modes.

Yeah, I don't have training mode on my PCB.

(But I could always dig out the port...)

What about my "I think all those danmakus are totally luck based randomized unfair impossible bullshit" thread? Or can I put that in learn2play?

I think I may also attempt a Gunbird 1cc. Not having to worry about scoring really helps my progress. With Cave, I get caught up in how I can score moar in each stage

I'd ignore you first, but I can't since this forum is vertical, and therefore doesn't have level design.

P.S. I'm funny.

No, I just have a terrible sense of humor. Don't worry, I have nothing against you.
