TMNT GBA Ubisoft
I'm not massively into that sort of beat 'em ups, but this one looks kinda cool and I could use some cheap GBA fodder. So, how do the genre fans like it? Last but not least - since buying a cheap, bare GBA cart is risky in this regard - does it save any essential unlockables?

not a bad game by any means! can't say much about unlockables, as i only played it briefly, but i enjoyed what i did play. there are better beat em ups out there, but it's a great portable fix for sure

It didn't do much for me. The original arcade game was so dynamic... you'd be walking down the street and NINJAS SMASH THROUGH WINDOWS NINJAS UNDER MANHOLES NINJAS BEHIND BILLBOARDS. The Game Boy Advance title gives you some better moves, but its structure is pretty much walk right, beat up two guys, walk right, beat up three guys, walk right, beat up two guys, ect. I think the only really great GBA brawler is Double Dragon Advance, which approaches Technos' series kind of like how the Streets of Rage Remake guys approached Sega's.
I disliked The Bouncer, though, and didn't you end up enjoying that game? Our favored face-punching might be too different for my opinion to be helpful.

Still not sure about The Bouncer (have yet to play it properly), but played TMNT emulated briefly (just to make sure what was on that vid wasn't the Konami game) and, at least with a DualShock 2 on Normal, found it a bit too easy. The presentation is good, the combat feels good, but come to think of it, I'm also tempted by a fairly affordable Lady Sia cart, boxed with a booklet, which seems more like my kind of game...
