Actually, now that you mention it, the DC version did seem a bit tougher than the PS2 version. I had just chalked this up to not being "on" when I played the DC rev. Huh...
Are you people sure about this?. Did you know that Rez adjusts the difficulty of the bosses depending on how good you play. I'm not sure about all factors involved, but scoring/killing a certain percent during the level has definitely something to do with it, and I think you maybe have to unlock all levels too before you get the more difficult bosses.

If the DC version is in fact more difficult, then I need to get that one too :P

As fun as REZ is, this game will kill your eyes if you play it long enough. I think they tried to release it into the dremcast world as part of sega's "display" of how powerful the unit's graphics capabilities are.

They've done a good job, and thank god it isn't some repetitive trash like Cosmic Smash, but for some reason, this was never popular.

IIRC, the DC version runs at 30fps, the PS2 version at 60.

Oh, and the PS2 version has the digital audio out, so it definitely gets the sound crown.

I've not played the DC version, but the PS2 version is great. As others have mentioned, it has higher framerate and better sound. For $20 bucks you really can't got wrong.

I assume you're asking about the unlocks? Yes, except for 3 that are done by doing score attack mode several times (I'm a bit tired of the game by now ;( ). I'm also not sure I've seen the best best ending of the game. The best I've seen had me free the girl, but the ending still wasn't very impressive. That might be the best, I'm not sure.
If you're asking about 100% analyzation (easy), 100% item collection, and 100% shot down in all stages, then no.

95% shot down in the stage.

Yeah, that's what I was refering to. Apparently though (according an FAQ I'm looking at), you can achieve the 100% unlockables by just logging hours. Ten hours seems to unlock all the skins.

Wonder how many hours I've got logged? Haven't played Rez in months and it's boxed up right now. I'll definitely break it out once I get moved.

there are actually three levels of bosses for each area, depending on how much you shoot down: mega (less than 95%), giga (at least 95%), and tera (over 98%).

you get more points for beating harder bosses, of course.

I've managed to get 100% Analyzation and enemies killed on all levels but 2 and 5. But most of the time I just like to sit back in the mode where you can't die (can't remember what it's called offhand) and play levels 3 and 4.
