Help me figure out which shmup this is :)

The very first shmup I played (this must've been around 1995-96) was this DOS hori shmup with a red and a blue ship. IIRC most if not all of the stages took place in a volcano setting and all the different weapons powered up when you got another item pickup of the same type, I remember there was a special pickup with the letter S which gave you some extra firepower too. I also think the final boss was a ghost of sorts, in a closed room, brown background I think.

I'm aware this is reaaaaaally vague, but I'm hoping someone remembers that game, would be nice to play it again for nostalgia sake I'll try to remember more details in the meantime, and thanks in advance for any help provided!

Red and blue ships, and three weapons sounds like Raiden II, which got a PC port around that time. Doesn't have a volcanoes and ghosts though.

I have to say thanks to, because I played this game in the mid 90's and I have in recent years tried to remember the name of that game, but could not remeber it.
