I was a wee bit underwhelmed by the 1st Shooting Gameside, gotta be honest.

What was disappointing about it? Aaaaanyway, this issue's going to have Crimzon Clover, so it has to be an improvement over the first anyways.

Well, for a guy who can't read Japanese, I was looking forward to the visual presentation.

Tbh though, the Japanese readers did note (on Cave-stg iirc) that there was very little new or exciting material in there - just lots of regurgitated stuff.

As a casual observer it just seems a little dull.

I had the last one special ordered at Kinokuniya bookstore in San Jose and they brought it in for $22. I'll be heading there tomorrow with the ISBN for this volume to try it again.
