Great news about Mushi, haven't played it in a cab for years. I'll be down tuesday next week.

Also, I've added the "Team Royale" sig - we'd better start sorting out who's in this year.

What are they actually testing Darius Burst at Trocadero? Is it in at the moment? Or is it installed on the 9th? Exciting :D

Also, when is this week's Casino meet? Tonight? Wednesday? Thursday? I'm bored of being unemployed and loooooong overdue a visit...

I was really hoping to join the team this year and I think HZT wanted to as well - is there no more space?

Perhaps we have enough members to split into Royale Team A and B?

I'll be down tonight as well. I dropped in the Troc earlier but if they had Darius I didn't see it. I always get lost in there though so it's entirely possible I just missed it, we should have a look tonight if there's a few of us.

I'm not really bothered about the tournament if there's too many people but I'll join in if we try to make two teams - in fact I think spadgy also suggested that a while ago.

I'd rather come down when there's a guaranteed full crowd. Don't have much money at the moment, so I have to make every trip count :D

Can't wait to play Mushi 1 in the good cab!

Alright Darius Burst is wish fulfillment. But the TROC is the only place likely to get it.
Its not beyond the realms of possibility. Remember Border Down randomly appeared in a Naomi cab there when it came out and stayed in for 11 months.

Anyway, its good that CHI has confirmed its in :D

Sorry I missed Tuesday night guys. How was it?

I'm certainly up for the tourny, and I think Team Royal A and B teams is a great idea (though I think we can come up with better than A and B. We don't want to split the teams on ability anyway, or distinguish one as the 'main' one).

I have to get back to work now, but I'll be on a forum bender tonight with all kinds of updates. Maybe then I'll suggest how we divide up the teams and such. Oh - surely RGC will join us again?

So cocking busy right now I just can't do it.

Oh - and will anyone be down the arcade tonight?

And DEL - I'll be back from a holiday in Wales on the 9th. If I can make it in time I definitely will.

And CHI - welcome back!

EDIT: hzt - I heard you 1CC'd Mushi already! Well done mate, you shit!

Yes, I'll definitely be up for anchoring the team again. And by anchoring I mean being at the bottom of.

It was good, there were a few really nice credits. MX7 had an exciting run up to stage 5 on Maniac when it was just the two of us there, with lots of crazy dodging with no bombs at the end of stage 4. Dan76 made it almost to the last boss (or up to the boss? I've forgotten) on Maniac. I did clear Original and though I would like to claim my score wasn't hilariously bad MX7 has video proof that it was.

We searched for Darius Burst at the Troc but unless they hid it really well it's definitely not there.

Yup, sorry.
But take a leaf out of my book and ask the Troc Manager to get it in.
John Sturges at Casino also has a very strong link with Taito.

So hang on - has that Darius Burst cab ever been at the Troc, or has anybody heard official word that it is due? DEL - did you hear something through the grapevine?

A few of us found this after seeing what DEL said, which is why I thought it worth going for another look even though I hadn't found it when I went on my own. It's possible they had it there for a short test and we never even realised! (I doubt it though, surely they'd it for more than a couple of weeks after getting such a massive cab in there)

Wow - that event's 'glamour' is typical of the UK arcade scene! It looks bloody great.

Anyway, it's to do with Electrocoin, so maybe John that owns Casino (Mr. Electrocoin) will get us one on for a bit!

If you see a 27 year old with a beard and glasses wearing a black long sleeve shirt being bad at progear and mushi, say hi!

Chaps - I'm just off now for a weeks holiday away from London and the internet. If there's a suddenly urgent need to sign everyone up to STGT'11, can somebody pop my name on the list?

So, we've got:

Me
Dan76
Skykid
Rupert H
CHi
JDE
hzt
MX7
RCG (?)
Taylor (?)

And maybe even mr_m0nks or ravid?

So - eight definite and four maybes?

Did I miss anyone?

I have to dash. Can somebody PM the maybes?

And who wants to chose two team names? We could go with Casino Royale and The Royale We. Or Casino Royale and Casino Political. they're shit ideas. Who's got better? Maybe Casino Royale and Goodge Royale.

Oh. And in the tradition of all trying to make somebody else captain, I ay we go with JDE. A gift as thanks for his loan of Futari!

Dropped by on Thursday and got to meet Illyrian, and saw CHI clear Mushi on Original Mode too - well done to CHI and HZT for getting the 1CC already!

I don't mind being captain of one team, as long as everyone is OK with that. As for team names, how about Casino Royale (since it's already established) and Aozora ("blue sky" in Japanese)?
