So, does anyone know how to reduce the input lag on an HDTV? I have a Sansui Sled2480, it's 24", full HD, and LED.
Basically, when I game, it sucks. It's nearly impossible (for me, anyway) to perform well when I have so much delay. I'm using HDMI for my 360 and PS3. I'm wondering; will switching to component HD or HD VGA cables (the latter being the one I'm leaning towards) reduce it at all? I actually have my computer hooked up to my TV right now, since I theorized that if VGA cables would indeed reduce lag, then I should notice that when I plugged in my computer. And I don't really see to much of a delay, I'm sure I wouldn't notice any if the refresh rate on this screen was a little higher.
No, my TV does not have a game mode. Any help, anyone?

all things being equal, VGA input should provide the least amount of lag so I understand.

Aside from display, further lag is introduced via scaling and post processing.
Vga is often suggest since it usually has less post processing than other inputs - but do try other inputs too.
Also suggested is to supply tv with it's native resolution where possible [minimise scaling].
Given your efforts however, I suspect the bad news is the screen might just be shit for gaming

In contrast to a specific game mode; you could try turning off any active picture 'enhancing' features [this is typically what a game mode does anyway].
