Who the fuck is this spadgy guy you're all going on about? He sounds pretty cool, whoever he is. I like the way his name is often so big. I don't know if it's compensating for anything though.

Anyway, you gits, I'll go and look at Skykid's thread right now. I'm sure the Brighton meet won't clash with anything, as the living room thing I was planning was only a low profile alternative to out weekly Casino micro-meets. It's something utterly flexible.

Moving on, great to meet yushin at Casino on Saturday. Next time your passing through town, let us know. And treat yourself to a Japanese 360! Futari needs you to!

Finally - I'll bring the Mushihimesama PCB with me this coming week. What day shall we do?

Actually - one more thing. A story you'll all enjoy. While I was riding my bike home from the arcade on Saturday, My pedals fell off while I was cycling along. I'm sure all of you would have enjoyed seeing that live, but as you weren't there for the magic moment, I thought I'd let you know.

You mean 'tex' you, right CHI?

I'll be honest - this week is looking really busy, but I might be able to make it Wednesday. No promises right now though. Getting ready for going to E3 is ruining me!

I really want to see Mushi go in, and talk about Akai Katana. Some of you chaps have got it, right?

I'm afraid I won't make it tonight. Sorry chaps. Maybe tomorrow.

You playing Akai Katana Arcade too Dan76? In fact, are we even friends on Xbox 360? I'm 'OTAspadgy'.

Yeah, I'm playing Akai Katana - I was going to answer some of your strategy questions but I'm not too sure myself.

EDIT: I've just answered them anyway :)

I haven't been online with my J360 as I'm paranoid that the latest update will stop the console from reading discs - it's a launch model and on it's last legs. If they patch the screen options I'll risk it.

Back OT - I'm planning on heading down tomorrow night to play super slow Futari.

Had a great time with HZT and CHI yesterday evening, but was forced to leave earlier than expected due to The Engineer liberally spraying one of the front doors with something that required him to wear a protective face mask. It wafted downstairs and made me feel a bit light-headed. When we left, the air in the ground floor was actually white from the spray! So outrageously dreadful that it was hilarious.
spadgy wrote:That's what a classy place Casino is!
Also, I'll be down again this evening but won't be able to stay for too long.
Edit: Looks like I won't be able to make it unfortunately.

I'm afraid I'm just not going to make it tonight, and with me off to E3 next week, That means the install of Mushi will have to be the week after. Sounds like The Engineer has been busy with other things anyway.

Still; sorry guys. Gutted not to hang out at Casino for a whole two weeks!

Good to see Chi and hzt on Friday, had a good time watching everyone playing Futari over and over and over. Joy.

Someone needs to give hzt bomb-counselling or else he might have destroyed the Futari cab by the time you next visit.

Finally.

Took me long enough but I'm glad I got it only playing the PCB. CHI saw the end of the run from about halfway through stage 5. The Street Fighter players saw me leaping around and shouting, and looked suitably amused. Larsa saw my bombs coming at her thick and fast, and looked suitably DEAD. Oh yeah.

Well done hzt. You did it the man's way, none of this pussy footin' around with ports

I guess I'm the only one left of the regulars who hasn't tamed the bitch huh..? She shall be mine, oh yes, she shall be mine (unless she gets swapped out for her younger sister).

You got the clear on the port didn't you? Unless you mean getting it in Casino, in which case I don't think spadgy's done it either.

Yeah, I got it on the (pussy) port ages ago, which is odd because I thought I'd got better over the past year or so... I'm getting glasses at the end of the week so hopefully I'll improve. The arcade is where it counts anyhow.

I'll be heading down tomorrow, about 6 - anyone else around?

Oops, didn't realise my last post was made after midnight... I was in earlier today - I did what I had to do, no more, no less and without any style - Got the 1CC with an appalling score.

A bit worrying that I was only able to get into the zone whilst the place was empty. Got to sort that. If you can't 1CC without CHI sitting behind you saying helpful things like "You didn't need to bomb there" then you can't 1CC...

Doubt I'll be in until next week -

Nice one! Just spadgy left to do it in the arcade now? Or has he done it when I wasn't around?

You need to get more of the urge to show off though, I'm sure I play a little better if I think someone's watching - I saw CHI in the reflection on the monitor when I got the clear and I think it gave me a little boost. He did hold back on the helpful comments though...

I'm not going to be in the rest of this week but I'll be back next week, hopefully to see Mushi installed.

Shit! Yep - that's the case. I really need to focus on one game!

Should have Mushi to bring in next week when I get back from E3. That will help me concentrate on one game...

Mind you, now I've played with a Wii U, I can only play arcade games with tiny vert screens on the top of the joystick ball, so Casino's no good to me!
