fever sos capacitor replacement help

hey guys im new here and need some help replacing a capacitor for my board. i hope you guys can help me get this board up and running again.

That's a polyester film cap, but I don't know its value. You could try to read the markings on one of the other caps of the same type and try to replace it.
Is the board completely dead, or are there minor symptoms like glitchy graphics or non-working sound?

The board isnt dead im only saying its dead because i removed the capacitor. I didnt want it to do any damage to the board. I did try looking at the others but some of them are different.

I think it's the same as C58 that you want, but I'm not entirely sure.

According to my board, C51 is a 153K polyester film capacitor. (C58 is 103K)

ok which one do i need C51 153K or C58 103K and if you guys have enough time can you show a good pic of it

C51 is the one that's busted on your board, thanks for Dave_K clearing things up, seems you just need to get a 0.015 uF cap (153K).
I don't have the board myself(anymore) - just went with the pic on world of arcades for reference.

I think it doesn't really matter since film caps seem to be all rated with fairly high voltages.

^well, the worst that can happen is that after a while the cap will look the same as the one you're trying to replace... :wink:
