Who sells shipping/mailing boxes suitable for PCB's?

Post by neorichieb1971 »

I've run out of mailing boxes and I need to ship 2 PCB's. But to be honest I prefer uniform boxes for storage as well. So if anyone can tell me where to find boxes like that, i'd be appreciative.

Im in UK.

I don't know if U-Line exists in the UK, but I ordered a butt-load of boxes from them a while back.

Choosing one size that will meet the needs of all your PCB's is probably the most cost effective, but is ridiculous in terms of how much space is wasted on smaller PCB's. If you take the time to measure your PCB's, you can probably find groupings of maybe 4 major sizes that will suit your collection.

I was hoping to wait till I had box art completed for my collection before taking photos, but I could be persuaded to snap some pics to give a general idea of how much space you can save with the right sized boxes.

Protip: Consult with your local grocery store to see if they have the appropiate-sized cardboard boxes. Some cardboard boxes that fresh produce is shipped in (i.e oregano, basil, etc.) make for prefect sized boxes for storing your expensive & priceless PCBs + related arcade paperworks. Costs absolutely nothing and is free for the taking.
