Pretty cool, and fairly close to the Vic design. Nice tributeto nnenn as well.
Now you too can have an unofficial Lego Vic Viper!

Makes me wonder what other shmup related Lego dioramas and/or fightercraft have been made. Of course, it's up to the designer/builder to make clever use of the bricks at hand or utilize some speciality bricks (mined from past and present Lego sets). Customing designing new decals/logos to adorn such a custom-built Lego piece just adds flair/pizazz to the overall cool stylized look.
I used some Japanese mecha plastic model kit decals on my custom made Lego mecha suit soldier back in 1985 for more added realism (compared to using the generic Legoland stickers supplied with the Lego sets from the mid-1980s era). Whatever it takes to get the job done properly. The applied decals have certain spots missing to give that additional "aged" effect certainly doesn't hurt either.
