As a matter of fact, there is. As long as you don't eat any fresh vegetables (which seem to be the origin of most infections) you should be fine.

Only Vegetables I ever noticed on a Meet at my Place where: Haribo Saure Gurken & some Deep Frosted Berrys wich ended up to chill a custom made strong alcoholic Cocktail

Apparently half of the confirmed EHEC patients including an 80 year old woman stated to have conducted anal experiments with Spanish cucumbers at least 12h before their first bloody diarrhea. Scientists are still debating whether the bleeding is a consequence of the EHEC bacillus or the raw act itself.

tirol isn't in germany

My last information was that the bacillus most likely originates from manure, so Apples are not affected. Furthermore they have circled one of the sources of the virus on spanish cucumbers and tomatoes. I haven't kept up to date though, maybe there's been some shocking news during the past 1-2 days :p

Memories of the mass organophosphate pesticide poisoning disaster from Southern Spain in 1981 come flooding back...
Tomatoes were the culprit then as well. But to be more precise, the illiterate Almeiran farmers who are accused of spraying whole drums of pesticide on their crops, instead of the correct small dose.
1,000 died, 25,000 deformed/disabled.
Also blamed on cooking oil, but either way - a nightmare of a food poisoning disaster.
I've mentioned it before of course , but all images of the victims have been completely removed from the net.

Most of the cases have been in the area around Hamburg.
The Sweden-based European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control said this outbreak was "one of the largest described of HUS worldwide and the largest ever reported in Germany".

It said: "While HUS cases are usually observed in children under five years of age, in this outbreak 87% are adults, with a clear predominance of women (68%)."

HUS cases have also been reported in Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands and the UK - linked to German travel.

It also says hundreds fallen sick. Mr Garcia - Any cases you personally know of?

Yeah, I bet it's just the fancy tourists who get infected. I know I'm not eating any salad on this trip, Pizza, Wiener Schnitzel, Thai food or some random barbecue (please tell me this is happening!) in the backyard please. I bet the alcohol will help keep me free from germs as well.

living in hamburg & having contact to quite some of them (who also have their contacts): i don't know of any case personally either (hamburg being a city of roughly 2 million people - so it's about 0.001-0.01% of the population being affected)

to sum it up: over 99.99% of the hamburgians have no problem @all with this!

I have a problem with my school that might compromise my coming to the meet. I may have to stay a few days longer in Grenoble which means I couldn't catch my plane. I am very unhappy that I have to cope with that bullshit and that it may even prevent me from attending an awesome meet.

Bad news to me.
I have any amount money stored any place. It came from one of my jobs in a public service and do any months I don't take it. Last week I knew which all is locked because I still had not a account in the correct bank and I went over the deadline to take it in money order. I entered which a internal process to get my payment but seems this will take a while
Now I was thinking and if I needed the money to attend one health emergency in my family...
Damn bastards, I'll have a heart attack if they charge income tax from this!!!!!!!!!!
