Advice for connecting Xbox360/PS3 to my Sony PVM-monitors
I just got hold of two Sony PVM monitors; PVM-2130QM (that I will use for TATE) and a PVM-2730QM. The Scart input on the back is great for most of my retro consoles, but when it comes to connecting a PS3 and, more importantly, a Xbox360 for playing Cave shmups, I'm without a clue on what to get in terms of cables for my monitors. Should I go for Scart cables (and if so, what brands - the officials ones?) or is there a cable for connecting a Xbox360 or PS3 directly to the PVM's Digital RGB input. Is a HDFury what I need?

Since RGB Scart is limited to 480i (NTSC) - both on the monitor side and the source's side, you should definitely go for Scart RGB connections if possible. On both system it doesn't really matter if you choose official or 3rd party cables - you won't be able to tell a difference.

But what about the PVM's Digital RGB input? It has both a Digital RGB input and a Scart input. Isn't the monitors digital RGB of a higher quality than the Scart's analogue RGB when it comes to connecting it to next gen consoles like PS3 and Xbox360?

Digital RGB (TTL) is nothing any of your sources uses. Think mid 80's PC workstation, not videogame systems (TTL RGB is limited to 16 colors). The highest quality connection your PVMs offer is 15khz RGBs and that's what you get from the 360 and PS3 using Scart.
