If I'm reading these new tweets from Maruyama correctly, it sounds like they've temporarily canceled development on their next project (which was going to start in June). They are now going to focus on doing more contract work for a while.

Contract work now can possibly translate to more freedom later. They can accumulate some assets and allow themselves some additional liberties that way.

What I find interesting about this announcement, is that it was both very sudden and made very close to when they were going to begin development of their next game. This gives me the strong impression that they realized whatever it is they were going to work on would require a "higher than normal" budget, and the two most likely possibilities for that would be either an entirely new game or Senko no Ronde 3.

Switch the side and then view the leaderboards. I guess it looks like you should be able to switch inside the menu since it says the side on the top left.

Ah, of course. Yeah, it does look like you can switch when viewing the Leaderboards. Very misleading.

A bit late with this but it looks the arcade version on NESiCAxLIVE has finally hit the streets on the 4th(or 7th?) of July (about 3 months after it was supposed to). It's called Ver. 1.06 and Side Vower is not part of it at this time, though they reckon it's in the pipeline.G.rev Strania page, Facebook
