Holo3dgraph setup

Post by forin »

Hello all,

First post here. Awesome resource! There is a lot of information here that I have been soaking up. About 2 years ago I bought 2 holo3d cards. Due to college I missed out on a lot of PS2 games. Once I had finished and had some free time I fired up the old ps2 on my new 50 inch Kuro and started to cry and miss my Sony xbr970. After spending months of research I ran across Fudos site and read through it a number of times. After talking with him I was able to find someone on Curt Palme's site to sell me his old cards. Once I received them I was never able to get them up and running, even after talking with Fudoh via email. Unfortunately, I did not have the money or time set aside to build a new pc so I put the cards away for a later date. Now that I have some free time and money I'd like to build a system just for the holograph cards. Since my old AMD chipset and gtx 8800 were not compatible I'd like to ask other holo card owners what they use in their system. Thanks for the help and it looks like I might have to buy an SLG3000, I love scan lines!

If you do a PC for the Holo only, don't overdo it. Those cards are old and the recommended specs are a 1GHz P3 or an early P4 system. Three things you should always keep in mind:

- Use an Intel chipset with an Intel CPU.
- Use Windows XP Pro (32-bit).
- Use a graphics card (Nvidia prefered) with a 128-bit bus. If you use a 64-bit bus you might get more delay and bad performance when using the pivot function.

Can't stress this enough. Intel GMA for example is very bad for the Holo3D software.
