This maybe slightly off topic,
Studio siesta recently updated there webpage and they have new renderings of Trouble Witches 2 along with this:

COMING SOON…
★ディザーサイト 近日開始予定!
XboxLive アーケード用ソフト好評配信中!

What does this say? I ran it through google translate and it didn't make sense. But it seems like it's being release on xbla?

I'm pretty sure the bottom sentence was referring to Trouble Witches Neo (which is directly below).

Game is awesome. Really loving it. For 10$ it's a lot of bang for your buck.

Liking Luca the best so far.

On sale for 400 points at the moment.

Guess I'll have to buy it now.

Hmmm, 400 points seems like a no-brainer even though I wasn't entirely sure this would be my cup-o-tea. I think what turned me off the most was how the store seemed to break up the action too much mid-stage. Does this hinder anyone's enjoyment? I know that TWN has gotten an overall positive response from people but I haven't read up about it. Sell me on it... :)

No, I find the stores to be a refreshing change from the norm.

In addition, the game was well worth it to me at it's normal price, at this reduced price if I didn't have it I would be picking it up right now.

It's worth the $30 I paid for the PC version which isn't even as good as the 360 version. At $5, that's a steal. It was a steal even at $10.

edit: nevermind, I just saw the sale ends October 4th.

Thanks for the heads up on the sale, that's what I had been waiting for.
Fun little game, but the cards can make it a touch easy. I had played the easy setting at first to try and get a little used to the game system, and ended up clearing it on the first go, piece of cake. The final boss was a touch hectic, but fun to try and beat first try on one life left.
Cute, fun, and playful.

Can't wait for TrouserPlank to complain about how the Stage 3 boss is "impossible".

Stage 3 boss I don't remember being too bad. I'd expect him to complain about the stage 4 one, especially since I never really figured that one out myself, I can obviously expect him to complain about that.

I really should get back to playing this and actually get the 1cc on a difficulty other than Very Easy, maybe work on learning how to score properly, and other stuff. Maybe even spend time on the port of AC that is included as I don't even know what the differences between AC and Neo are.

Stage 3 boss is pretty fucking annoying imo, especially when you can't get that last god damn piece because he keeps that section of his body straight.

That's just annoying though, Stage 4 boss is straight up evil.

It's about "realizing their actuality." And judging by the look on Jane's face, she's realized it a couple of times already.

Just a heads up: 1 month trials allow access to Deal of the Week prices but the 48 hour ones don't unfortunately.

Not at all - took me back to earlier days of playing things like Xenon 2 (which amusingly, my own game was gearing towards.. there's a disabled 'shop' in there too which I removed due to taste).

I think it adds a touch of strategy really and the beauty of the shop system will show through after multiple score runs. Think of them as hypers - you have to rack up enough points to get them to begin with and you're limited to 3. As far as I can see, unless I'm being dumb - you have to use them in order.

There's a couple of segments where I bought the decoy card as my first powerup to attract all the bullets to one spot, placed my shield there and waited until the last few moments before popping the enemies to convert these bullets in to gold. The result was that I ended up limiting the screen space I could play in (due to the shield being surrounded in bloody bullets) and getting a decent reward for the risk. I imagine after a few runs, there will be optimal items you can buy for specific situations to enhance your score :-)

If anyone is trying to get gold membership for a sale... these days there might be a "2 months of gold for $2" deal on the front page of your dashboard. Just something to keep an eye out for.

Also, I did not seriously look at this game before but this does look surprisingly good. Mechanics that you don't see every day, inspired art direction in each stage...

I asked about that during a previous sale, and if memory serves you need to use a credit card to pay for it, which is supposedly an absolute nightmare to cancel - in any event I already have TWN, which is probably the best game on sale at the moment anyways, so no huge loss. :)

You can remove credit cards from the web interface now.

Finally got around to trying this properly and wow, it's lots better than some people had lead me to believe. I'm playing on the 2nd difficulty up from the very bottom one and it seemed very challenging especially after about level 3. The final boss where he zaps you with that eye laser took credit after credit off me as I was too busy watching the hit box to know when he was going to fire.

The story mode's great too, it's like listening to a bunch of kids trying to act as they read a script (which it probably is :) )

Actually, the option to remove credit cards from the web interface is restricted by region. The option only appears in regions where it is required by law.

Once you get tired of that, you should switch the voices to Japanese in the options menu.

FINALLY... After 1cc'ing the PC version I got it on the XBOX... And what can I say... it feels... incomplete. I haven't spoted a practice mode, it has some broken mechanics compared to the original PC and the story mode of the PC version has a much more longer story compared to this... dunno why they didn't took it to the XBOX, maybe they were lazy and didn't consider making an equally long story for the new characters... bleh. Also, they don't have Siesta as a selectable character (my Avatar)... pity, because that was my favorite character of the PC version; Yeah, I know she's an enemy on the game, but heck: very powerful straight shot + decent magic circle + faster movement while the magic circle is active = the best character for survival and scoring.

Anyway, already beat the "normal" difficulty with Luca. Mind Blowing difficulty is extremely fun.

Maye I'll go for a place on the top ten scoreboard :3

I wonder when they'll finally release Troube Witches 2... it's taking then a very long time...

PD: They have Siesta on the NesicaxLive arcade... WHY THEY HAVEN'T MADE A DLC for the XBOX?!

Were there any changes and/or additions to the original arcade version of TW in the 360 port of TWN?

It's nice to be able to play the Taito Type X version of TW on the real arcade hardware setup (considering that it's presented in 4:3 screen presentation @ 60fps framerate in 480p). Still looks great running in 240p through the 15.7kHz output of the Type X hardware on a 29" low-res arcade monitor setup -- although the ideal monitor setup would be a high-res 31kHz one for maximum eye candy.
