What [not shmup] game are you playing now?

Anything from run & guns to modern RPGs, what else do you play?

 ......

I'm sure most people would like to pretend that they have no idea what that is, and that it didn't scar them for life in any way... especially the anime

Yeah, the Hentai, or er...Anime is pretty bland compared to the game thus far. I played for maybe 2 hours or so last night and it barely scratched the surface of the first 5 minutes of the OVA. Guess that's what happens when you take a game and turn it into straight up Hentai.

I would say that calling Bible Black a straight up Hentai offends most Hentai. Lol. That shit gets disturbing. (not to say others don't. lmao)

There are a few scenes that stand out in my mind that were just evil. However, the game was fairly interesting. I bought an actual copy from some music store a few years back. Fairly awkward.

Can't say I've played the game or seen the anime, but Bible Back never fails to crack me up when someone links to a scene from it.

All the H games have hilarious lines during the H scenes. Amy's Fantasies and Love Potion (both from C's) gave me really hard... laugh :D

Viewtiful Joe on Hard/Adults. Just beat Hulk Davidson. Reminds me of Treasure games in how I'm having a hard time working out whether it's brilliant or broken.

That's how I felt about every Clover game at first...except for Okami. It's pretty damn obvious that that one is for kids and weaboos with poor motor skills.

But just watch some youtube videos of Saur playing Viewtiful Joe. That will show you that not only is it possible to beat the game on Adults, but it's possible to get a full S rank all the way through.

Castlevania: Harmony Of Dissonance

A decent game, but not without some stupid shit - ability to sell only stones? Bosses easy as cry-babies?! An overload of doors that you can't unlock before 15 hrs of farming? Also, the story is pretty pointless from the sequel perspective

Sure, SotN did have some of stupid shit above, but it felt very solid and, um, NECESSARY. Aria Of Sorrow fixed most of it, but brought in a completely facepalmworthy story

Anyway, once I'm done with HoD, I'll most likely pick up Front Mission 3 again. Mah boi...

Fullhouse Poker on xbox live. Lately I've been playing that with friends for a couple of hours a day. I have no idea why... guess cause it's something social.

Guilty Gear XX AC

Learning the basics, but this is the only fighter to really draw me in, besides KOF.

Maining Axl and getting beat by my friend's Order-Sol. Good fun.

Finished Gears Of War 2. Short but sweeeeeet! What was broken in GoW (useless bayonet) is now good, and what was good in GoW is ten times better!

Started Killzone 2. The beginning is meh (as it was in KZ1 up until the first close quarters mission), waiting for the plot point...

Picked up Battlefield Bad Company 2. I'm pretty happy with it so far, at least when team mates actually bother to work together. It's a hell of a lot better than the CoD games imo.

Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura, can't seem to get into it though. Just finished up Fallout 1 again and felt like it was time to finally tackle Arcanum but meh, I don't know.

I've been meaning to tackle Arcanum as well. I still need to beat frickin' Baldur's Gate as well...I've started it like 3 times. Love it, but I always get sidetracked somehow...

Super Street Fighter IV... gonna try to get some good sessions in before the Arcade Edition DLC hits on the 7th. My character got nerfed to heck, oh noes! (Rose) But I'm curious to try the new characters and see just how gatlike they are. Been goin' to local casuals at a gamestore in the mall the past month or so, good times.

BTW, add me up on XBL if you play and try to send a message if it's not apparent you're from here. Be glad to play anyone really as long as we don't lag to shit.

God Hand!

I remember starting this game about two years ago but never really got into it... But today I decided to give it a second chance and finally everything clicked once I figured out how to properly utilize guard break and set up proper juggling combos. Still getting my ass dragon kicked into Milky way... But it's mad fun and the cutscenes keep cracking me up.

After finishing - I think the puzzle elements are better than the first (more stuff to mess around with), but the Lolo comparison was waaaay too generous. They waste far too much time trying to bring the laughs.

Rage Racer. Forgotten how I love this one. Spent all evening in time attack remembering! Absolutely blistering arcade racer. Speed, drift physics and track designs all gloriously reality-shattering. Still looks and sounds fantastic as well - the superbly dark palette and howling engine sounds won't age.

I have been playing Panel de Pon SFC and various Atari 800 games like Boulder Dash, Juno First, and Star Raiders. I have also been playing some 2600 stuff like Spider Fighter, Radar Lock (on Flashback 2), Pressure Cooker, and Enduro.
