Psikyo SH2 PCBs - no demo sound?

Post by gundamalpha »

I have been searching up and down and can't seem to find a solution to this, or there's no solution at all. I have 3 SH2 PCBs, Strikers 1999, Sol Divide and Dragon Blaze, and non of them seem to have demo sound and can't find any dip switch one them. Is there any way to activate the demo sound or they just don't have them? The same also occur on Strikers 1945+ on MVS. May be it's Psikyo's characteristic? Thanks.

I have Strikers 1945 2 and it has demo sound.

The problem is there is a high pitched squeal in there. I think the MVS cart has demo sound too. By default I think every MVS game has those options.

High pitch squeal is better than no sound at all on my boards :|

Other MVS games I own also have demo sound no problem, just Strikers 1945+ doesn't have (although there's sound on title screen).

I have the same problem with the high pitched squeal coming from my Strikers 1945 II board (Japan region).
My Strikers 1945 I and Strikers 1999 boards don't have this problem. Is this a common issue with this board
and is there a fix?

I sent my board to a fixer guy on here. R-typer or retro something or other. I can't remember. But anyway my board was sent back untouched. I think the reason is that they assume its internal to the chip or something, which happens to be proprietary and years out of circulation.
