Is Twisted Metal Black (PS2) any good? I know this game is a little old, but I still want to know. :D

AFAIK, it's pretty decent. They got back some of the original developers, after the horrible turd 989 made with TM3. Why not check some reviews online at Lamefaqs or Gamespot? Some of them have been helpful when I got some games in my collection, and don't regret doing so.

It's fun. Single player is excellent. Co-op is great as well but the other Multiplayer modes are somewhat of a bore though.

The game does get boring after a while though. I haven't touched my copy since 2002.

I had plenty of fun playing the PAL version until I found out that the publisher had removed all of the middle and ending videos. Bastards. Doesn't affect the game itself, of course, but still.

I loved it. I thought it was the best of the series. If you've played and liked TM 1 or 2 you'll love this game. You could also pick up the online version, if you desired. Great levels, great characters, great gameplay.

it is great fun, and the cinemas are genius. ghegs, that information is very sad. while the cinemas don't add gameplay, they certainly add atmosphere. although i'm sure you will hear this elsewhere, it can get mercilessly difficult. when my brother played it, he had to use codes to make through the later stages, and he is good with most any game he picks up (except shooters ).

Oh, definately. I've actually seen the cinemas - a Twisted Metal fansite had them up for download for us Europeans who got screwed over. Great stuff, lovely characters. The priest was always my favourite. For some reason, whenever a game (or a movie, comic, book...) has a priest-character who's not afraid to pick up heavy weaponry and open a god-size can of whoop-ass they end up being my favourites. :D

I have to agree with everyone else -- it is quite fun. This game is really easy to find at either gamestop or eb for $4.99 (a used copy), so there is really no reason to pick it up.

Even though I'm a car freak and all, I burned out on Twisted Metal after part II. I guess 2 was my favorite, as the first one was kinda "so-so".

In the newest one "Black", which character was it with a body in the bed? The vehicle was similar to a Chevy ElCamino (half car/half truck)

I got it beause it came with the online adapter for the PS2. I played it a couple of times, it's all a bit .. dead really. I stopped playing it as soon as I found some better online games.
