I agree, but then it would then just be one game of countless other 2D platformers that seem to be been made this past year. It might actually be more profitable for the dev to stay in his own little niche now that the industry juggernaughts like Ubi and EA are starting backrolling the indie / 2D genre and can curl out games at a much faster rate then AAA games.
Looks awesome and while I'm quite fond of the DC releases I wish they would also end up on XBLA.

The DC/NGCD versions aren't too badly priced considering they're printing up CDs, boxes and manuals. Additionally, I'd say something like Fast Striker is much MUCH less half assed than a game like Platypus or whatever. Most are actually good. I've owned several DC's all used and they all were fully functional.
