It's a misnomer, but it describes an actual phenomenon: an explanation of events that posits an implausibly powerful and widespread conspiracy, such that virtually all contrary evidence can be blamed on the conspirators covering their tracks. Similarly, the dearth of direct evidence can be blamed on... the conspirators covering their tracks. It's a lot like how some religions treat God, come to think of it.

So you were thinking it would be feasible to send in a team of Seals to a foreign land (specifically one where most people hate whities), read him his rights, arrest him, extract him, and then try him?

It's a personal perception that ignores the term entirely. I dislike people being marginalised for having opposing points of view, so I accept a theory as a theory and little else.

No, I was thinking it hilarious that the US forces failed to capture him alive and then flew the body from a landlocked region to give him an instant burial at sea with no available footage of the worlds most wanted dead body.

Nonetheless, that doesn't exempt it from being a theory that conspirators (probably wearing black suits & sunglasses) are keeping the truth from the public... something they're awful at, btw. Remember? The most powerful man in the world got a blow job once and everyone knew about it.

What about Saddam Hussein? He was captured and then judged, so it's feasible. We had lots of footage to confirm it really happened.

If they're gonna get rid of world's most wanted man without a single pic or video of his body (that one pic going around was already confirmed to be fake), then yeah something is very fishy.

Plus, why the hell are the US so keen on following muslim traditions to give him a quick burial? As if they had shown such respect to muslims in the past.

He had oil. And I'd hardly call it feasible. Look at how many people died.

Buried at Sea

While most of the time we are assholes, the US actually goes way out of it's way to not offend people's religious beliefs. Mt. Fuji & Kyoto were purposely untouched in WWII, practically the only parts of the country, specifically for said reasons. During Iraq, mosques were purposely dodged. All the time.

Anyhoo, they've apparently got photos and video out the ass, and they're doing DNA testing now.

You can't fake someone's death without capturing him. He would just make another audio recording declaring it all a hoax and send it to al Jazeera.

If he's alive, he's in cell.

To believe otherwise makes you a full fledged truther, who believes bin Laden was working for us the whole time.

I wonder who they`ll choose next to try to scare people with. Capitalism is a system of fear with the ruling class always inventing virtual threats to keep the populations of their countries in check. Muslims, terrorists, atheists, migrants...anything just to keep people distracted from real problems.

My point being that quite often the USA cleans up after itself. You will often see news footage live that never gets shown or explained again such as with the flight 93 saga. Then, its easily forgotten and nobody has to answer any questions. In this episode it seems really convenient again that the person has been shot in a 40-1 situation where I believe (you might not) he could have been apprehended with a tranquilizer and helicoptered out. It seems the burial is rather quick like the US government can't wait to get rid of it. So many questions could have been asked. Personally I think he was in support of the terror but not the actual figure that started 911. I bet no pictures of OBL appear that are CLEAR and FULL PROOF. USA invites conspiracy theories with its actions thats all. I am not 100% the body is being disposed of so quickly for any other reason than to generate more questions where answers will not be forthcoming. If OBL died for his beliefs, its obvious the USA didn't want us to hear his opinions.

They tried that before. It became a very popular movie directed by Ridley Scott. But, even if they could, I doubt they'd want to. You got him prisoner, and all of a sudden there are all types of hijackings and shit. So yeah, you're right: of course they could have at least tried to extract him, but at what cost? A high one. We've already taken a shit all of over our civil liberties and given none of our basic rights other suspected terrorists... I guess he shouldn't be any different.

Well the least they can do is provide a photo online of his body. If the bounty was paid I'm sure they would want proof. Are we not any different to expect that proof of his death is given? It seems when a big event happens like this they just say "it is" and "it is".

it's impossible to "proove" anything with pictures, especially to smart people with 50+ IQs like you and skykid. please respond to my last posting.

No, but nobody has said they're not going to provide it. I think it took days for them to show footage of Saddam's sons during the middle of a war, and that was frowned upon by a lot of people.

I totally agree the USA is right on this. But it doesn't mean I trust them. I would be interested to see how many US citizens are just going to accept the news as it is. Will Donald Trump ask for his death certificate? Poor Donald, you know he wants to see it.

It is kind of hilarious because we have a government that has so many secrets, so many things and inner-workings that no one has any idea about. People tend to trust authoritative figures when it comes to words. A prime example of that is religion. As a kid your parents forced you to go and in many cases, you went and perhaps have a belief in a God because of it. With little thought of why.

More people than not will believe what they read and hear. Without facts. I see it everyday.

Nothing is certain. It could very well be that someone did kill the guy, but to blow off all theories that suggest this is a hoax, and laugh at people who demand proof (which, let's face it, is a reasonable request), and not be open to the possibility that Skykid is right, are sure signs of closed-mindedness and typical American stupidity. I mean can YOU say for sure that the guy is dead? Try to look at the issue from different perspectives instead of taking appearances as solid truths.

I mean there are shit theories that suggest we never landed on the moon, and then there's this.

Skepticism is what deterred me from believing in God. My family practically force fed that garbage down my throat growing up, and even at a young age I wasn't buying the whole "God is watching you, even when you're peeing" horse shit.
