Ketsui in MAMEUI 142u1

Having trouble getting Ketsui running in MAMEUI 142u1. Used to run in 142, and I updated the set, scanned with clrmamepro, everything looks good, but when I run it I get errors there are missing files?

Anyone else?

That problem is easily solved.
Step 1: Use Shmupmame
Solved.

You probably would have to rename some files or something,
but Shmupmame is superior anyways because of the reduced input lag.

Crud ok, maybe I messed something up updating to 142u1.

<sighs> I told myself before I wasn't going to bother with point releases ... but they fixed the memory leak in MAMEUI in u1, so I kind of had to update my ROMs as well

I've got a serious dumb on right now ...

I can't seem to download Shmupmame? But I think it's a problem with MediaFire.

Downloaded MAMEUI32 142 and it works with my 142 ROM set ... wonder what got screwed up updating to 142u1?

I had to unzip the zips and combine ROM sets to get mine up and running.. hope that helps.

It's a very unpleasant problem, that different Mame vers uses so different rom names and files in it :cry: Shmupmame 2.2 uses 140, 3.0b uses 0.99, 141 and 142 are also uncompatible. It's ok when you want to play one game, but its very difficult to solve when you want a lot of shmups.

I'm using the same romset for Ketsui that worked with 0.141. No renaming required. Works fine in 0.142, 0.142u1, and 0.142u2.

Dodonpachi Dai Ou Jou needed an updated romset for 0.142. Batrider and Bakraid will need renaming:
batrid to batrider and bkraid to bbakraid.

It's better to wait for [0.143], unless there's something you really need in one of the uX versions.

There IS however the sprite layer disappearing in the v3.0b release of Shmupmame which is a bit of a bummer for Ketsui in the later stages, fortunately Barrakketh has a MAME .142 build with lagless drivers for the PGM games that doesn't have this issue.
