It was Air Assault, by Irem. Unless it's Air Duel, also by Irem. Even though they are both on my WTB list, I still always muddle them up in terms of which one is at The Troc. Pretty sure it's Air Assault though.

EDIT: Just checked - it is indeed Air Assault there - AKA Fire Barrel.

Kind of gutted I missed the 'main' day but Sunday was really fun. Really nice to finally meet people (and catch up with those I've met before, of course!).

I think I'll save state the second loop and get practicing for next time

We had a potentially broken MMP on our hands and were trying to figure out where to put it to have it work (other than Futari or the too-bright DOJ screen). The engineer popped a few credits back in DDP for you but you vanished!

Great week end in London, really happy to have met you guys. Everyone was very friendly and cool.
It was surprisingly fun to play DDP on a cab with stick, on that run. Starting to get the hang of it, feeling more comfortable with it. It's becoming a different, cool experience.

Looking forward to the next London Meet. Shmuppers rule !

So did MMP make it in? How have things changed?

I ran down to Casino when I heard the engineer was there, only for the grumpy git to tell me he "should have left 30 minutes ago" even though I'd been carrying the board around for three days waiting for him.

We avoided Futari (just because) and DOJ cabs because of the brightness of Pork probably suffering on that monitor, and tried RFJ. It wouldn't boot and the LED kept blinking on and off. We then asked Taylor if we could interrupt his DDP game to test it on there and the same thing happened. The engineer was like "it doesn't work" which freaked me out because I thought I'd toasted the board by carrying it around in the hot sun for a few days.

When I got it back to my folks place I put it on my bro's cab and it works fine, it's just Casino's shitty cabs and fluctuating PSU's. The cabs at the back must be set on different (lower?) voltages than the Futari cab where it's been hosted before. Anyway, pork is safely with me back in Brighton. If you want to play it, come down here!

Hey, I had a really great weekend with you guys, nice to catch up with you all.
It's always nice to see others playing shmups, and how different everyone plays on them.

Though I really hate the condition of all of the games at the Troc, my scores were really poor compared to normal, except my really good scores on TC3 that you all missed! At least I still 1CC'ed a lot of games.
And here is a proper run on the PS3 DeadStorm Pirates, No Miss ALL. It's a shame that it was set so hard, but then so is everything at the Troc...
Good to hear about the PS2 spadgy, I'll make sure to do a proper demonstration next time, and on other games too.
