A: Chuck Norris + P90X Guy.
Q: Some dude is hitting on your girlfriend, but she is oblivious to it/doesn't care/isn't reacting. Do you confront him openly at the risk of appearing to be an overprotective jealous dick or just suck it up knowing that she's not buying it and stay quiet at the cost of your territorial man-pride?

Well, there are several things that are comparable in 90% of games - story, graphical style, gameplay, ease to pick up and play, etc...Ruldra wrote:EinhanderZwei wrote:Is it even possible to do that kind of comparison? Yes, but only if the games are from the same genre. If I pick Dodonpachi as my measuring stick, I can't compare it to Starcraft. That's what I was getting into.EinhanderZwei wrote:Well, there are several things that are comparable in 90% of games - story, graphical style, gameplay, ease to pick up and play, etc...

I had the opportunity to play in that when they were in my city once. Team-based laser-weapon action, it's great. If you get shot, your weapon stops working and you needed to return to your base to recharge your gun. The goal was to destroy a target in the enemy base. Only thing missing are the grenades.
Other than that, Paintball with craploads of ammunition is a lot of fun too.

Roulette.
I've spent years of my youth trying to figure out a roulette system to minimize risk and maximise wins. It ended up in me going to the casino every second day and racking up several thousand Euros in wins then loosing everything on one evening. Sadly Einstein was right, the only winner in roulette in the long term is the casino.

Read the "About the Game" part, it explains why the game is unknown in the West. And whoever said the plot sucks, let me tell you that I've never seen a storyline as incredible as in this game. It's that good.

Re: Q and A
A: This is a really complex issue, actually. This is a vast simplification, but the long answer is that there are a lot of cultural differences involved that are making Japanese men increasingly less bold. The short answer is that if the protagonist responds to feminine advances, then you can't rate your anime "teen" anymore =P.

A: I've said it many times, but I really do admire in a few ways, the developers of old... specifically of Japan. Games were (and even now are, to an extent) this weird facet of Japanese commerce where the rules didn't always apply. Sure, there's a lot of structure in any Japanese company, but if you look back to the 80's, lots of people just said fuck it, and formed their own companies. Toaplan was started out of an apartment in my current neighborhood. Cave was a bunch of people that succeeded Toaplan. Those guys set aside, it seemed like it was an industry that allowed developers to not only be creative (no iron fist rulings from the top) but also allowed them to quit their companies, make their own, or join others with little blow back. Other industries here simply did not work that way. Even now, you don't want to be over 35 and looking for a job in Japan (even in a good market) unless you can speak English.Q: Is there a gaming personality that you really admire? That's not even touching on the fact that they used to squeeze the shit out of obscure hardware to make awesome games. Now, it's almost all PC-based, and not nearly as interesting on a technical side.

Re: Q and A
A: I've only gotten fired from one job, and it was a well deserved parting of ways. I was just not cut out for fashion retail. The job was at Urban Outfitters, in Austin, Tx. In my defense, about a month after I left (which was 2 months after it opened) the entire staff had rolled, including the managers. So anyhoo, on top of me sucking at folding clothes and generally appearing like I was enjoying myself, due to some medication I was on (and wasn't truthfully warned of) and a LOOONG saturday night, I had massively dilated pupils for my Sunday afternoon shift. My eyes are light blue, so I look like a fucking lunatic in such states of mind. Man, it was nuts. My neighborhood who was one of the biggest party animals I knew (borderline fuck-up) came in to get the apartment keys, took one look at me, and say, "You need to slow down!" Like he was my fucking dad or something. Hahah. Couple of weeks later, management and I agreed it wasn't a great fit.jonny5 wrote: Q:) What's the worst thing you ever got fired for? Sorry, I've never really had it out w/ my superiors, despite having shit jobs. Any time there's a scene there's generally some type of bullshit involved that both parties are aware of.

Nice question emph. Tinitus can also be caused from too much stress / mental pressure so I'd say the answer is yes.
