Just a couple of quick shots from this evening. Not much taken by me, since I was either playing or chatting away to people.

Nice little turnout for this evening, over ten of us in the Casino along with the fighting game crowd. Good to see the old guard there (CHI, Skykid, Skykid's brother, Rupert H, Smraedis, Lordstar, Spadgy and others), and some new faces too. Finally met the legend that is Prometheus, and saw him, fresh on a joystick, take apart Dodonpachi for over 110mil to 2-3 on the first go, and 1-ALL Dodonpachi Daioujou for over 50mil. Can't wait to see you beast the games on a keyb.
Good chatting with everyone over Futari 1.5, and later, pizza, and will definitely be in early Saturday afternoon for the big day.

Cool night of beer, pizza and STGs. PMT 1ccing DOJ ON a stand up cab was a highlight, though I particularly enjoyed ICR's 1CC of Futari with just under 300mil. Some proper heart in mouth stuff there.

Shame the casino was hotter than Hades. A trip to the Troc to watch .SM tear apart some lightgun games would be a nice change of pace. Hopefully today Pork will be installed and we can start having some real fun

Awesome day yesterday! I've got some pictures which I'll upload soon.

Me, smraedis and Lordstar are about to head into town for a bite to eat and then the main day. Sounds like our high turnout yesterday (16 or 17?) may get even higher.

Anyway, CHI, the 'darling', has booked us a table for tonight for 9.30pm at the Jade Garden in Chinatown. So, we'll all be meeting at Casino between 1pm and 3pm, and then fit in some time at The Troc before we eat.

Sorry chaps, was on the road for the meet but the car got a lot fuller with Naomi cabinet parts I was picking up on the way than I anticipated so I had to go home (I couldn't even get out the damn car!)

Great day today. Raven and I arrived a bit early, but everyone eventually arrived and a good time was had by all. Once again, it was great to chat with the old guard and the new faces. Seems like everyone had fun, which is good. Nice little excursion to Trocadero to get some air, even through there was a minor thunderstorm going on. Great demonstrations by Smraedis on Deadstorm Pirates (even though it was set to Hard and he didn't get all the way through it), Ghost Squad Evolution, and Point Blank. Fun watching Lordstar and Spadgy on Initial D4. And bumper cars was funny.

And as usual, it was good to see people enjoying strategy chat, and watching others play good credits.

Finally met Sapz, and we had a good discussion over the finer points of scoring in Futari 1.5 Original, martial arts movies, and Asian music over dinner with the guys on our table. No, my 319mil ALL wasn't badass, just littered with mistakes and survival play. ^_-

Raven and I will be at the Casino tomorrow around 2pm. For those going back home, thanks for coming down for the day, and for those still here, see you in the afternoon. ^_-

Just an amazing meet this time? Loads of fun, and lots of laughs. Just so nice to hang out, talk about arcade games, scores, strats, PCBs and the collector market all weekend. I've got a ton of pictures to upload, and when I do that I'll also make a list of attendees and meet 1CCs. Incredible to watch all the decent runs by lots of the people there.

I'm sitting at my flat now as me, Lordsatr and my wife watch smraedis tear apart Time Crisis 2 (with my PS3 and GunCon 2 offering a delay

. Need to dig out my PS2 for the GunCon 1) and Razing Storm.

Lordstar and smraedis are heading into town, but as it's got so late (staying up until 3.30am watching Twilight Zone equals waking up very late!) I probably won't make it today.

Still - what a meet. See you all again soon!

Awesome weekend guys, I must admit that I expected most ppl to be proper geeky but was pleasantly surprised that everyone was cool hip and happening. shame shmuping and drinking aren't conducive - it wud have been cool to have got pissed and talked bollocks together

Been quite leisurely today - a smaller gathering of peeps, so it's been more relaxed and chatty.

Some good stuff going on, including Prometheus working his way to 2-7 (EX-BOSS 1) on Dodonpachi, with a stick, for 248mil, Taylor looping Progear with Bolt+Nail for 17.8mil, and Smraedis clearing Time Crisis 4. The Dodonpachi run from 2-4 onwards, and the whole of the Time Crisis 4 run are on video and will be coming soon. I'm still a little miffed that I made a bunch of blunders in one Futari Original run today, losing all lives from st4 to the end of st5, and finished the run at 302mil, but at least the sharpness is back, and I'm happy that I've figured out a couple of new tricks for st4 and 5 this weekend, which I can apply to my play.

Raven is quite pleased he managed to get to the first extend in Futari Original - hopefully this should spur him on to better scores. ^_-

Aside from gaming, it's been quite a relaxed day today. A good chat about games, travel and other things over a few beers. Good to see the guys again, and hopefully we can arrange another big one soon. Raven and I will be around until 5pm tomorrow anyway, as our train is at 6pm, and we will be up early anyway for check-out, and random souvenir shopping for people back home.

Oh man, I can't wait to see the DDP run. Must have been pretty awesome to see it live. Icarus - does this mean a return to regular Futari play? If so, I'll be looking forward to seeing new scores.

I don't like to leave Futari hanging for too long, lol.

If I had no-missed this run all the way through to the end of st5, it would have been in the 350mil region, as I was 128mil+ after st3, and on for 200mil+ after st4 if it wasn't for two stupid deaths in totally random places, ending with 180mil. And after you told me about the lost points bombing lanterns (which I still need to check tbh), I switched my bombing strategy through st5 so I could hit the lanterns properly, and it seemed to work quite well.

Still need to work on my Larsa play though. -_-;;

All videos from the meet are coming when I get back home to my faster wifi connection. PMT's Dodonpachi run was quite breathtaking, and .SM on TC4 was robot-like, even with a knackered lightgun.

Had an absolutely brilliant time at the meet over the weekend, everyone was incredibly friendly and it was a pleasure to meet you all. Getting to see some incredible runs was the icing on the cake, and I've got a lot of new techniques to try out now. Looking forward to the next meet already!

Sorry I didn't get to say goodbye to people properly on Sunday. Nursing a hangover on two hours sleep is even less fun than it sounds.

Once again it was an awesome weekend! Thanks to Icarus for the formal introduction to Crimson Clover. The bastard child of the Ray series and Cave, it puts most commercially released games to shame. Many thanks also to Lordstar for the Toaplan tee and the ongoing Street Fighter AE rivalry.

As usual the shooting crowd proved themselves to be a fine collection of gentleman and it was great to meet folks, both old and new.

Here's to next year!

A leisurely Monday and an end to this London Meet. Had dim sum with CHI, Skykid, George (Skykid's bro), Raven and Smraedis, and a couple of drinks and good conversation before our train. Really enjoyed the meet this year, lots of good fun. Last updates are on my Twitter feed, and videos coming tonight once I get home.

Regulars, it's been a pleasure seeing you all again. New faces, great to meet you, see you at the next meet! CHI, I owe you a couple of drinks, and Skykid, I owe you a frappe. ^_-

what can i say, it was an awesome weekend guys,
really nice to meet everyone and chat while gaming.
there were some amazing runs in there i learned a lot. i even managed
to beat my personal best on futari

still need a lot of practice.

didnt manage to get many pics as my camera was knackered

taking suggestions on good games on mame for a novice to practice with

Kind of gutted I missed the 'main' day but Sunday was really fun. Really nice to finally meet people (and catch up with those I've met before, of course!).
