Another trailer, if anyone's interested. For whatever it's worth Gamestop has also moved its listing for the US release to late June, so hopefully there's not TOO much wait time in between the Japanese release and this one.

The 2D animated overlays when you bomb just point out how horrible the 3D is. I'm fairly certain they are actually in the game and not just part of the PV, i could be wrong though.

A lot of those characters make my flesh crawl, I'm guessing at least one of the flat chested characters is a dude right?

I've been on the fence about getting this, a US release (or region free) tends to peak my interest. Having another hori would be nice, but that's what I said when I got the first game and I hardly played it.

The backgrounds in some of the stages do look kinda classy I must say. It really has a nice clean and colorful look to it which I like.
In other words, boobariffic.

There is no sack. they got rid of the character that had one, and replaced him with a less chesty female. Not sure how that happened.

Considering guilty gear has more than its share I wouldn't think it would be because this game is coming stateside, but maybe it was a factor.

Also in the lame US announcement fromlast year the awkward presenter said something like "play with 9 lovely ladies in otomedius excellent" it would be harder to say 8 ladies and a tranny.

It's nice to see that the gems and the D-Bursts are still there. I was afraid they were going to over-simplify the gameplay like how it was in the first game's Gorgeous mode. Graphics are definitely better. Not really a fan of Madoka's gloves though.

Hopefully this one sells enough the first few weeks to warrant a platinum release later on. I like Otomedius, but I dunno if I like it enough to buy a sequel at full price...

Arnval has a similar configuration. They seem pretty hell bent on not including any player characters from Parodius, despite being up to three bosses now.

It was officially announced, yes (I've actually had the thing on pre-order for awhile), but with any shmup localization "guaranteed" is a strong word. If/when it does arrive I'm sure there's some heavy-duty censoring in store...

Yeah was thinking about holding off buying the Japanese version, but then I keep wondering how it's possible for this game to get localized. I don't think it would be tolerated here to be allowed to poke girls boobs and other places.

Really, how many games get censored lately? I know localised versions of Japanese games used to get censored a lot back in the 90s. But I think we're beyond that now... And this doesn't even look that bad. Might get an M from the ESRB but OFLC will just give to us at PG, like Dead or Alive Xtreme 2.

What I love is how you can turn on a fashion channel and watch women in fish net type clothing where you can see through it on public tv with no censoring. Nipple and all...but when its a completely uncovered breast its censored. How did the world become this way?
