The topic title still says 'tentative'. Is this a definite now, cos i dont really want to book a train and a couple of nights in a hotel only to find its been changed to the week after or something?

Attendees list is up to date, but I get the feeling that there are more coming that haven't announced themselves in the thread. That was the case for the big meets in 2007 and 2008, when we expected a handful and got a flood in return.
More fun that way, though.

Does anyone have Change Air Blade ? I never tried it and after seeing some videos recently, thought it could be fun to play in 2P versus at a meet. Seems more fun than Twinkle Star Sprites or Senko no Ronde to me.

I dunno about the game, it is rather unfair if you are ontop, and the fun factor of the game goes quickly.
See you soon too :D

FREE STUFF FOR FREE

Hey folks,

So I have some stuff to give away and if anyone wants to lay claim to it I'll bring it along to the meet for you.
Must note that I gotta give first refusal to the following:

Icarus
Spadgy
Chi
Ruperth

As I owe them all debts I can never repay without tears and a good handjob.

SFIV Master Guide (tried to sell this for £6 but no-one's biting, cheapskates. So free!) - FOR CHI

Image

Some posters:

Image
Image

Large flyer

Image

Fatal Fury Real Bout poster B1 (this has seen some action on an arcade wall, so it has a torn section in the corner and general wear around the edges. Will still look good in a frame. It's this one.

Playstation (works fine, the catch on the inside sometimes needs a manual push to get the lid to shut. Bring your own power lead.)

Image

Others:

- Pretty much new 4 ethernet port ADSL Router (wired). Cost me a pretty penny at one point, good for all your LAN gaming and whatnot. Click here for all the info -

- very long EU male to male scart lead. I once needed a lead to reach from one room to another, and this did the trick. If you require such a lead, this is it. - FOR DAN76

Image

- Capcom Jamma adaptor - this is a bit haphazardly made, but half works. Intended for gunsmoke to run on a Jamma cab, unfortunately 2 of the buttons are the wrong way around. Should be a simple unsolder, re-wire job that I can't be bothered to do (or just use the Jamma harness and fingerboard for something else.) - FOR CHI

Image

Inazuma Serve da!! Super Beach Volley (cutesy little Super Famicom volleyball game - loose cart.)

Image

Image

5 x Train Manga (those big books wot businessmen in Japan read on trains. I have a stack of about 5 from different years.)

Image

DS Keys Factory case (good for protecting a ds lite, bad for using as currency in a foreign country.) - FOR CHI

Image

Dreamcast House of the Dead 2 (whatever, nice freebie. Someone take it.)

Image

Money Idol Exchanger sticker sheet

Image

MOAR TO COME

I have a bunch of leads and pads n' things dotted about, I'll dig them up and add them in a bit.

I just want a lock of your hair.

Seriously though, I don't think there's anything there I want that keenly (though I'm tempted to by HOTDII - I think I lent my copy and never got it back - I need to check). Awesome generous of you though Skykid.

CHI - you and I need to get a couple of boards to The Engineer soon to get them installed.

Skykid - are you still cool with bringing the Pork board? I can assume full responibility.

EDIT: The below is no longer available for free. You'll find out why later. I have a very good reason that will make you all weep with joy.

Actually, I have some freestuff I can offer to give away at the meet that I don't have time to post right now.

Skykid, CHI, JDE, hzt, Dan76, MX6, Rupert H, Ravid, and the other Casino regulars have first refusal, but it's for any of you:

Nice Shogun 2 figurine (boxed)
Some Scribblenauts figurine (boxed)
2x hardback game development books I have duplicates of (GPU Pro and Game Physics Pearls)

I had one of those Shogun 2 figurines, pretty rad (sold it straight away tho.)

As for MMP, yes, I'm bringing it down for you.

If no-one wants the scribblenauts figure, I have a friend here in Brighton who would cream himself over it. Not a pretty sight I'm sure, but it would make his day.

Very generous Skykid.

If no one else wants it (and you can be bothered to bring it) I could make good use of the long scart lead :)

So what's considered the main day of the meet - or is everyone basically camping out down there for the whole weekend.

Not in its current state, no. You'd need a few extras and quite a lot of wire and soldering to turn it into a Jamma extension harness.

As for the SFIV guide, why do you want to have a flick through it before you take it - you can take it and then have a flick through it, how's that?

Dunno, am I meant to be there a day before? I thought I'd just bring it on the Friday, will that not work?

I'll bring both bits along for you then (and KOF 95 too. :o )

I think Saturday will be the main day, but loads of us will be there Friday evening.

I spotted some new light-gun games (new to me anyway - Sega Golden Gun and Gaia Attack 4) down the Torc last week, so we can check them out one day too.

CHI - I need to get you my DDP board so we can install that for our DDP specialist visitor...

That's very cool and I will definitely screw around with a DDP cab if there is one, however if you guys want to see a real run I need to play with a keyboard, so you could just bring a laptop or something. Preferably something that doesn't lag too much :p (people always get me a computer with huge input lag !)
I have no idea how I'd perform with a stick but I'm sure it would be nowhere near the same level.

I'm coming down with my friend Raven on Wednesday, but we won't be making an appearance until Friday evening, definitely. Main day is Saturday all-day, and we're there for the duration - expect me to be parked in front of Futari and MMP. ^_-

I'll probably have my Macbook Pro with me, maybe putting in a couple of runs on Crimzon Clover v1.01 for fun. If you can handle an Apple keyb, feel free to utilise it.

This sounds like it's going to be a good meet. Hopefully I'll have shaken this blasted cold by then. *cough cough*

Can everybody let me know if there's nothing more you want from the above freebies? No one got a Nephew who wants a PSX or something?

If not, I'll throw it open to the rest of the vultures (there's that word again) in the main sales area.
