UFO Interactive maybe only bought the sales rights for US...I don't know ! Just received an answer, by mail, in december 2009 from UFO : "We have no plan to release any of our games in Europe yet")
I think its better to convince TRADEWEST to release RAIDEN IV, I mean its a bigger chance then convincing some US publisher to release a game in PAL. Maybe 505 GAMES is willing to do it as they published Raiden III for PS2 here.

Tradewest...it's a joke ? If you want Raiden IV in 2030 or never...yes maybe !
Rising Star Games already have their hands full when it comes to shooters as they are in a partnership with CAVE
Say what you want about Tradewest but if they actually deliver RFA the biggest chance of a Raiden IV PAL is from them or Raiden IIIs publisher 505 GAMES.
I see your logic Zeron, but that's also a big ifthat I'm not willing to subscribe to until they actually release it and early purchasers can confirm they haven't totally fucked up the coding or something similar.
As for their partnership with Cave, I'm still waiting for a bit more actual fruits from that too before I'd call it permanent.
Anyone feel like contacting 505 games when it comes to Raiden IV i'd really write it myself but I am terrible when it comes to run on sentences as english is not my native language. I believe that 505 Games might have "more" right to Raiden IV then Tradewest because they did Raiden III in the US for example Raiden IV was by UFO and RFA by Valcon Games.
That will be rational ! And 505 Games alreagy have connections with Moss...
I think GULTI CO LTD has the rights to Raiden Fighter ACES and MOSS/SEIBU are the ones with the Raiden IV rights or perhaps even TAITO as they were somewhat involved in the game and published it in Japan.
505 Games have changed significantly since they brought out Raiden III. Whereas they used to be quite a brave little publisher - lots of very obscure releases aimed at gathering a dedicated cult following - they've since morphed into something much more boring. There's little to no chance that they'd take a risk on Raiden IV.

So they are willing to take a risk with Naughty Bear and not Raiden IV?
Its a shame but i doubt we will ever see R4 in this neck of the woods, Only way I can see us ever getting a chance to play a legit version is if it is ever brought to XBLA sometime inthe future. If tradewest dont release RFA then there might be a chance of some PAL publisher getting the rights to both titles on the cheap and doing a super compliation pack in and raising the price somewhat, IIRC the us version was flamed to hell and back due to R4 been a single game and priced the same as RFA, the fact that the 2 extra ships were DLC didnt help as well

Where did you ever get that from?
Anyways the fate of Raiden IV in PAL does infact look grim can't really think of any more publishers that would be somewhat interested in the game. Id say in the end its all up to TRADEWEST and how RFA sells.

Take the Mobile Light Force team to Tokyo in the year 2005 to solve one of their most bizarre cases ever. Help them fight demons and get rid of those who have terrorized the people of Tokyo. You can play as one of the 6 members and use your special abilities to fight your way through numerous stages all taken place above Tokyo.

140 if they release it for 10 Bucks.
Why would any publisher bother with this game? Just a waste of resources.
This is exactly what a budget publisher expects they dont expect the games to sell 250000 copies especially since they get the rights probably for 2 cents, what with the hate for this game anyway played it in the arcades and it was alright alot shittier games have been printed to discs.
also if the freaking Ps2 port of Sol Divide managed to reach europe I can bet my sweet ass that Raiden IV will, also i hope no one took me seriously when it came to having XS games as a publisher.
I'd be sad if a publisher picked up Raiden IV because it will discourage other companies from releasing other shumps in Europe.
It'd get terrible reviews and sell like shit. Also don't forget that you can't just print 100 copies, sell these and call it a day.
The thing is, Aces would/will probably get just as poor/decent/alright reviews as Raiden IV would. There's an entire thread in here somewhere that proves most reviewers aren't capable of telling shoot'em ups apart.
I have doubts we will even see raiden fighters in the UK. There is really no excuse for the constant delays, it's been out a while in usa. As usual the UK gets diddly squat.

Then feel my pain. I had to import copies of Raiden III, Dragon Blaze and (Bleh) Sol Divide from the UK cos Australia doesn't even get all the PAL releases that come out. This is the Lucky Country but not when it comes to games....
