I hope you'll find a way to enjoy my article. :) I'm also still waiting for my personal copy (it takes a while from UK to Germany), but I'm pleased that finally the story is printed. There is a little sneak peek at Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K-y5JwnRRxg#t=7m18s.

bump, i bought this yesterday, thought the article was great!
nothing really new revealed but a good read nontheless.

much better interview than Caves own ones even, I read the yagawa interview EOJ translated from the DFK book (thanx for that btw!) and man what a worthless p.o.s that is, was it conducted by a 13year old intern?

I did a translation from the Cave book as well - you can see it here.

... and yes, I'm eagerly awaiting this issue of R.G. from my local magazine import shop. 8)

I doubt anyone will have the nerve to publically put up a scan as the magazine's editor is a shmup fan himself and probably visits this forum and needless to say that the article's author is in this thread as well

Ive just returned home from making an journey to buy the issue myself. Even though I think RG is a decent mag I rarly buy a copy partly due to the magazine been not for sale in my town centre since Tescos moved in and many of the decent shops shut. :x

The interview was a case of quantity over quality, I thought :( Six pages isnt required for a company to say "It wouldnt cost any more to make a game disc region free, but we will keep region-locking so 99% can not easily play our games... So fuck the consumer, cos we are soooo elite and rich and thats all that matters! " Seriously, Cave are so getting up their own arses!!

Don't shoot the messenger though, Cave are becoming infamous for giving vapid interviews - they just don't like to open up much.

Sorry mate, it just makes me laugh that Cave expect to shift 300,000 units here when casual gamers and those under 16 will have never even heard of them! Just like Psykio, Taoplan and Irem, Cave will destroy itself with it's arrogance and a lack of advertising.

The fastest way to destroy themselves would be to pour everything into arcade SHM'UPs without letting the market marinate and get hungry again.
PSX Vita: Slightly more popular than Color TV-Game system. Almost as successful as the Wii U.
