Back in Black => DDP3

Hi !

My DoDonpachi 3 Black Label pcb arrived a few days before.

I will make some screenshots if you want me to.

The title screen looks different (black screen).

You will get hyper items much much easier, but the difficulty of the game is on the same level as the normal ddp3 pcb. maybe the game is a bit more difficult.

And i think the soundtrack got exchanged (arranged soundtrack).

Maybe Def can make some videos to show the differences to the normale version.

How rare is the PCB?

When you turn the game on, are you given the option of selecting either the normal version or the black label version?

After watching Icarus replay of DDP3 black label, I didn't really see much of a difference. Must be more suttle than I was expecting.

Yes i can choose between the two modes.

I can also choose if i want to play the "1 round" or the "2 round" mode.

Does it come in a Metal case like DOJ (white)? Is there no serial number on the PCB?

one question guys:

the selection from A (OLD) and B(NEW) mode appers when you start game?

A (OLD) = DDPDOJ classic version or only choice 1 LOOP Mode
B (NEW) = DDPDOJ BLACK L. version or only choice 2 LOOP Mode

?

if possible can you show me a pic of BLACK LABEL PCB?

Hi !

After booting up the system (which took 1 second) you can choose between the old and the new mode (black label).

After inserting a credit you can choose if you want to play a 1 round or a 2 round game (only if you activated the black label mode at the beginning of the bootsequenz).

Pictures of the pcb:
No problem. The pcb looks exactly like the normal ddp3 pcb.
Inside the metal case you will see that the ROM chip has a different label on it !

I will make some photos later.

When released it was advertised on the Cave page: only 100 pieces.
but it seems they re-release another batch of 30 pieces after that.

they did try to count it on 2chan and it sure was a little more than 100, back in time.

now some of it are in collector's hands...

so when you boot up old its identical to the regular doj? if i knew this i wouldve looked for black label instead of getting the regular doj (...not that i wouldve been able to find one or afford it).

The pcb looks exactly like the normal ddp3 pcb.

i thought i saw pictures before showing it in a different colored case, like gray or something (my doj case is blue).
