Hi Im new to this site and pretty new to arcade pcbs and superguns. I have a homemade supergun came with a jrok encoder and worked great but I wanted a better picture so I just bought a XRGB 2 (non plus). I would really appriciate any help on how to wire it up for a jamma harness for my supergun. I have done some searching and havnt had to much luck finding info.

XRGB 2(non plus) How to wire to jamma harness for supergun
Re: XRGB 2(non plus) How to wire to jamma harness for supergun
I have read that people were connecting it threw the 21 pin jap scart cable but there are only the 5 wire for video off the jamma harness. The red, green, blue, sync, and the ground. I am just not sure what wires to connect to what and if it will be ok to only use those 5 wires.

That's fine.
You can see the japanese 21-pin pinout here: http://www.gamesx.com/avpinouts/rgb21pinj.htm
You can wire the GND pin to 13,17,18 and 7.

So I would just have to splice the ground off the 1 ground wire to all of those pins? Would I also have to hook up the +5v to pin 16 or is that not needed?
Thank you for the help

You can wire the single GND line to pin 7 and then just connect the other pins to this one. You should make Pin 7 your "main" GND line though. And you don't need +5V on the XRGB.

Should I also link all those grounds to pin 21 or should 21 be grounded to another source?

"Pin 21" is the outer metal shielding of the scart connector. You really don't need to connect this to anything...
