Model Aircraft
Model Aircraft
Hey does anyone here assemble these I just picked up a Heller JA 37 Viggen in my local hobby shop I have not assembled a model kit in 10 years now. I forgot what patience it required but I really enjoy it anyone else into hobby aircraft?
Re: Model Aircraft
Hobby shops are seemingly on every corner here in Japan, and a few months back I bought a mig-21 "black lynx". Cut it, sanded it, got a good base paint on it... and lost interest. I just don't have the space in my current situation to do proper work, and the "build-up, tear-down" process of setting anything up kills the mood for me. If I had somewhere dedicated to working on anything I would love to work on it more, but space is at a premium here... Maybe I'll finish it someday..
The Saab Draken honestly looks like a ship from a shmup.. And it's from the 60's!

What is the legal situation of the flying variety of model aircraft over there?rancor wrote:Hobby shops are seemingly on every corner here in Japan, and a few months back I bought a mig-21 "black lynx". Re: Model Aircraft
It seems like you are talking about ones that actually fly here.
I'll build the occasional model kit, but after getting bored, and/or better, I started making scratch built stuff. I like using cheap, low grade gundam kits for that type of stuff, they usually have the best parts, and moving pieces. And they're cheap.

This is rather small, so the pic is blurry from being close. Here's a plane I built from random pieces.
Came out pretty nice, and the cockpit actually opens!
I like doing these, but I usually just give them away when I'm done. I have a couple kits I've been meaning to make into new vehicles. Maybe a couple of future tanks/APCs fighting against each other..
