Batrider rom swap

Post by mesh control »

I just got a hold of an Hong Kong version Armed Police Batrider PCB and I'm looking to get the roms swapped out for a version B set.

Is there anyone I can contact to do this for me?

Contact hobbyroms in Canada, I know that Stephan can burn a romset for you, at affordable prices. You can do the rom swapping yourself, it's a piece of cake.

Thanks.

From what I read it's pretty easy, I just don't want to buy a burner for just this.

Or should I?

I don't think my laptop has a port for those cables.

You don't have to buy the burner, hobbyroms does the burning for you. Just shoot him an e-mail with the names of the rom images that you want burned. You don;r even have to send the rom images, because Stephan can get to them.

I've ordered from hobbyroms before and it was about $20 for 2 eproms. I've been looking into getting my own burner too, and the true USB ones (that don't require the parallel port) are about $100.

Can you post a pic of your Hong Kong region batrider? I picked up a board a little bit ago, and I thought it might've originally been a HK region. It doesn't have the Raizing logo near the edge connector.

Yeah, I'll get a picture when I get home. Mine does have the Raizing/8ing logo near the connector.

I'm pretty confused what version B offers compared to the A version. Everything I read is that A only supports 2 buttons and the B version supported the 3rd button for the Garegga ships. However, when I play the A version in mame the C button works just fine.
