Trolling is when someone decides to be an asshole and pisses off nearly everyone in a thread, or derailing a topic with useless, inane bullshit that has no relevance to the topic or bumping up post count to enlarge your e-penis.

Again, for emphasis' sake, I'm not ripping on you. Just stating the facts, that's all.

True, but I would argue that for the most part IT has been insults, Arrogant Bastard. Even when people have disagreed with me, for the most part it's been insulting, and that's highly uncalled for.

All this is pretty needless. I'm pretty sure there's the ability to ignore certain users via an option in profile section, even if not it's not too hard to just not click on Dave's vs. threads.

He's mentioned in the past that he has an anxiety problem, I'd chalk up anything odd to that and I'm not going to insult him because of a chemical imbalance he has no control over...Dave is also a nice guy and excellent to do business with...which is more than I can say for some people who don't have a horrible and debilitating (sp?) mental disorder to deal with.

The high post count thing can also be attributed to stuff like the above...he just responds to each individual thing with a post...and really, so the fuck what? I'd be happy if we got rid of post counts entirely. And I'm not going to post or not post to get a higher/lower post count, fuck that.

I'll be at a 3 once this onslaught ceases; I'll take it easy once others decide to in this thread.

I think I'll just confine myself to the trading station from now on; I am a well-respected trader here, and that way everyone stays happy.

Most of this, though has nothing to do with my anxiety disorder, which I've just recently learned how do deal with whenever it pops up in my life again. (Last time was with driving.)

What it does have to do with is the constant insults I recieve on this site. I did a TON of research in college to get my BA in Political Science-and during most of this time I wasn't on ANY medication (I was simply to afraid to even seek any kind of treatment at that time)-so it REALLY hurts me when people accuse me of not using Google or not knowing how to use a search engine. I can dig up stuff on ANYTHING, (my Senior paper was on an ethnic conflict in Ethiopia) but sometimes I just need a little help. This isn't exactly a mainstream subject that this site's dedicated too; so searching for info on shmups is a LOT different then, say finding out how many nuclear-capable missiles North Korea has

Honestly, how the hell do you all think I found this site to begin with?
Through a search engine, that's how.

Maybe people think of it as advice when they tell me, usually not so politely, to use a search engine, but I take it as an insult because of what I've accomplished, and because of my skills in research.

If this topic was anything more than a ploy for attention and chance to take a cheap shot at Dave, Cigs would have PMed his concern to the mods instead of making it into a public humiliation of a guy who means nothing but well. Cleary the ones that may need a break from this forum are the ones getting so bothered by other people's posting habits. Stop picking on the guy already, it's as old as anything he is doing.

Gentlemen please don't create personal bashfest threads on Shmups Forum. The original request to not lock dave's threads will be considered, however in future PM-only should be used for this kind of thing.
