I spoke to Videogame Imports today via email, and they said 'Let's hope it doesn't take too long to come out!' which seems to suggest the delay is definite and the new date unconfirmed.

I've been watching the videos, and what calls my attention the most is the soundtrack, which appears is gonna be one of the best shmups soundtracks of all time, at least for me.

I decided I'd just get closer to $0 in the bank. Sooner or later I'd end up having both, so why not grab the two now.
Aside from platinum collection re-releases or the occasional sale, won't be saving much i guess.

Definitely playing Eschatos first however.

Man, I got nailed with having to buy new tires for the truck and a debt collector call so far this month, so i dont know when i can buy this game (or bulletsoul or both?). Will Eschatos have a demo? Whats the status of the bullet soul demo?

Also, why is there a price difference between eschatos and bullet soul? play asia has like a $6 dollar difference.

No demo for Eschatos afaik. Bullet Soul demo is still just set for "April" with no solid date =/

Mixed news from Videogameimports. At least Eschatos is coming, and as Videogameimports gives amazing customer service, I'll happily wait an extra bit. In fact, as they are based in the UK, I might get my copy on or before the day the PA copies hit these shores.

Eschatos now has a confirmed release date in Japan of April 7th.

Bullet Soul has kept it's April 7th release date.

Normally, we'd be receiving these games by Friday, April 8th, but with all of the problems in Japan and the fact that our suppliers are still in some turmoil, we don't expect to receive the games until early next week. We're guessing Tuesday, April 12th, but we won't know for sure until Friday or Monday.

Also, why is there a price difference between eschatos and bullet soul?

Bullet Soul has a higher MSRP.

Eschatos = 6804 yen
Bullet Soul = 7350 yen

So JSS and CS are just going to be ROMs after all, eh? Oh well, better than nothing I suppose. At least this will be a far cheaper way to own a copy of JSS, and will offer more content for the cheaper price.

What's so bad about them being ROMs? Do you mean as opposed to being ported in X360 native code?

As long as the emulator is accurate (assuming it's an emulator - where did you see this information?), then the ROM should play the same as it would on WSC hardware, which can't always be said for ports.

I received Eschatos today (3 days delivery !). I love this shmup and with Cardinal Sins and Judgment Silver Sword it's funny ! Idon't regret my purchase.

I continue in French (it's better for me) : J'aime beaucoup le sytème de point, avec les bonus qui augmentent lorsqu'on shoot rapidement les ennemis. Les 2 systèmes de tir, on switch souvent entre les 2 suivants les ennemis qui arrivent et la manière dont ils se pointent... Il est super joli, il a du punch juste comme il faut...un mode easy qui est le bienvenu pour moi ( ) et pour se familiariser au jeu, les changements d'angles ça rend super bien. A priori il y a 27 niveaux ou zones (certains niveaux sont très rapides) dans le mode classique (original mode). Je n'ai pas encore essayé les autres modes (Time Attack, Advanced mode...). Il m'a fait penser un peu au début à Raystorm HD...1ères parties en difficulté 'easy', je suis arrivé au 14ème niveau...puis en passant en difficulté 'normal' j'ai tout juste passé le 5ème niveau Il me reste de la marge...Par contre il n'y a pas de coop local et online on dirait...c'est dommage ! Il y a déjà beaucoup de monde sur les leaderboards et surtout des Japonais, comme c'est étrange !

Got mine today as well.

Eschatos has tate mode, but cardinal sins and judgement silversword do not. This makes me a sad panda since I primarily bought it for the wonderswan games.

Eschatos seems fairly boring and straight forward until you get to area 16. It is really hard to pass judgement though until someone with translation skills can explain how the scoring system works.
