There's 3 different limited editions.

The first comes with the game, soundtrack, illustration and material collection, Anoa sheets, game chair, Fuuma Gesshihana (?) sheets, and a special Konamistyle card. It's 36,651 yen.

Second set comes with the game, illustration material collection, Anoa sheets, and Konamistyle card for 13,251 yen.

Third set includes the game and Konamistyle card for 6,426 yen.

Shit. That is too much money too soon, but considering what things I'm not proud of that I had to do to get the Gorgeous LE after a while ago, it'll happen.

Fuuma Getsushihana is based on Getsu Fuuma, the main character of the single most obscure Konami famicom game in existence.

Thank GOD its only 2 months away, they said "Spring 2011" in ways that made me think "June"

Its funny, I just got an "updated" list of upcoming titles from Gamestop and it says the US version is still at September 2011. Looks like JP version for me. Not like the US will get sweet special editions like this, anyway.

Emon 5 was cut I thought? He's in the artbook because Konami is just now getting around to releasing all the stuff from Otomedius Gorgeous.

Emon has been cut from the roster, and in his place are two new girls.

Has the region free/lock description been mentioned in this thread for the Japanese version? I find it kinda irritating that I will have the Hyper Stick Pro Ver. G before Excellent(which I remembered yesterday and soon was disappointed to see it's been pushed back)...

Also will Konami be bring the touch feature over to Excellent for the owners of the Hyper Stick Pro?

Konami hasn't stated if either game has been region locked, but lets put it another way, excepting Dance Dance Revolution, Konami's previous Xbox 360 efforts ARE region locked, even if the game is released in both regions.

I didn't speak to her first hand, but a friend of mine did find out from the person heading up the localization efforts for Otomedius Excellent that while we are NOT getting a Limited Edition joystick over here, owners of EXISTING Hyper Stick Pro units will be happy to know that their expensive joystick is fully compatible with both the Japanese and American releases of the software.

That's not what he asked, though. He wants to know if the touchscreen of the original Otomedius stick will work with the sequel.

Yes. At least this is what I've heard.

I have a strong feeling this is going to slip again. It's due out in 2 and a half weeks and we still haven't had any official gameplay footage, screenshots, or ANYTHING besides the anime intro from E3 last year.
So, are we expected to turn our TV on its side?!

I have a strong feeling it won't, considering the fact that the website has been updated with a large amount of information.

That trailer made me realize how much I miss playing Gradius games. I passed on the first Otomedius, but maybe I should pick this one up.

Definitely an improvement on the first game.

Someone knows another site apart from the konami web where to buy the LE with the OST???
PA doesn't seem to carry out any preorders just like the first game.

Will this game be as good as gradius V? Or is this series just a bland shooter? Never played the first one, so not sure about this title.

I'm willing to confidently state without even playing the game that it will not be better than Gradius V by any stretch of the imagination.

There is more chance of getting a hard-on in the middle of a boss battle though.

The Real Limited Edition (with everything including the OST) has been sold out for quite a while.

This site someone posted on the CAVE-STG forum thread seems to have the Limited Set (the edition below the edition I just mentioned). Doesn't come with the OST though.
http://www.nin-nin-game.fr/japanese-imp ... ition.html

What I had to do, was create my own "Limited Edition" so to speak. I went with the Proxy service Celga and ordered the Limited Set and OST from Konamistyle. It's pretty simple and they seem like a nice community.

Celga
Limited Set
OST

I can already tell you that it'll come out a bit cheaper than going to that first site and THEN ordering the OST. It came out to $238, and I'd rather swallow that then imagine how much the Ultra Limited Edition would have set me back on shipping alone! ^_^;

if you have this preordered through Konamistyle, be aware that Konamistyle announced up to 11 days delay on shipping due to the events of the Earthquake.

They also updated the LE page with more information about the artbook.

Thanks for the update. I guess I'll play more Otomedius G and get around to acquiring Gradius V while I wait. I'd rather people get their lives back together as that's obviously much more important!
drauch wrote:God I love shmups and boobies.
Speaking of which, if you watch the tralier closely, at the sections where they feature Gesshi Hanafumma and Arnval, look closely and you'll see a naughty cursor touching the heroines in what looks like a more animated character select screen. Looks like there's still a use for our Otomedius Hyper Sticks yet! ^____^
(Well I've been using it for my 360 shmups regardless, but the touch panel gets its use back!)
